Great scope. Good light transmission for the shooting situations I've encountered. I love the custom dial. Even before getting the real custom one just knowing the MOA of my gun's drop I can easily ring steel out to 600 yds dead on. It will be even more straight forward when the custom dial shows up.

Ok so I finally had a chance to put it to work. I installed the new cds turret that leupold had sent me in a very timely manner. Which as a costumer I appreciate. Everything was top notch so far,now time for the range. The range that I am a member of has targets out to 600 yards. After a short zeroing at 100 yards, off I went to try my cds out, dialed in 350 and doubled checked the target range, range was 348 yards. Loaded a round and let one go. Impact dead center of a 18" steel target. My wife was spotting for me and confirmed a center hit. So went for the 6" swinger target and got the same results. I was more than happy, I at least wanted it to be accurate to 400 yards. It looked like I was going to achieve that goal. We walked back to the 600 yard line and dialed the scope for 600 loaded a round and held for windage only. Released the shot and hit center, confirmed by the spotter on a 18" target. So for laughs and giggles we thought let's try the 6" swinger target and to our surprise a center mass hit. Needless to say I am very pleased with the scope, and the clarity was awesome at 600 yards. Seems like a no brainer to purchase one of the cds scopes. Makes you look like you really know how to shoot.

I plan on using the scope for deer hunting and target shooting. I own several leupold scopes, and love them all. I really like my new as it will give me more tine in the woods because the special coating on the lens, thank you for making such a great product

The FX-II Ultralight 2.5x20mm is an incredible scope. It weighs next to nothing, has just the right amount of power, is way brighter than you'd expect from a 20mm scope and it's built very well. For me, it's a perfect match to just about any carbine or single-shot rifle.

I can't say enough about this scope, it's everything you need plus more. I mounted it on my 30-06 and handles like a dream. Holds zero very clear. Ready for hunting season! What more can I say... it gets the job done very well.

Actually purchased this scope about five years ago and have hunted quite a bit with it, took a nice Maine moose a few years ago with it. I mounted it on a Browning X-Bolt 30-06 and zeroed at 200yds, the Boone and Crockett reticle has tick marks out to 500yds. Very happy with this scope and how well it sits on the X-bolt.

I bought this FX-II IER scope for my Ruger Gunsite Scout. It is all what I needed, simple fixed 2.5 power and compact size with light weight. Mounting it on my forward Picatinny rail I can quickly and cleanly pick up a target with both eyes open, without distortion of view. Crosshairs are bold and easy to pick up even in a wooded background. As long as an end user mounts this scope as low as possible to the boreline and has a similar cheek weld to the original iron sights I think anyone would find this IER scope beneficial on any scout rifle project.

I chose this scope to go on my Ruger 10/22 takedown because it's light weight and compact to fit in the carry case. It works perfectly for that. The scope quality is very good except for some scratches on the elevation screw which is why I gave 4 stars instead of five. Otherwise, I'm very pleased.

I have 5 Leupold CDS scopes 3 of which are the VX-3 (1 is i) 4.5-14X40 and 2 3-9X40 and have one more 4.5-14X40 to purchase to get all my go to hunting rifles set up with what I've found to be the best hunting scope available ,not only for the price but bar-none ! You can pay up to 6 times more for a range and dial scope but you can't get a clearer , tougher scope. I not only recommend these excellent scopes but think you'd be crazy not to give them a try next time you're looking for optics !

Was trying to help a friend locate an optic and I was shocked to find this scope had been discontinued! Why would you discontinue such a phenomenal scope?? It has everything you could possibly need for hunting and/or tactical shooting. The side focus was so convenient, lots of light and clarity with the 30mm tube and 50mm bell. Then you add the illuminated Boone & Crockett reticle and it became the ultimate coyote sniper rifle at dusk hours. Curious to see what took it's place, because it also had a great price point too.

After my 500 Nitro Express destroyed two other scopes, I tried this scope. It has proven very rugged. Also, with any significant recoil, eye relief becomes very comforting. I now have this scope on a 500NE, a 458 Win Mag and a 40-70 Straight Sharps. I am about to buy a fourth FX scout scope for a new rifle now being built in 45-70 Gvt. I have also found their Tech Support to be easily available, patient and helpful.

A great scope which surprised me for the price. It isn't meant for 300-400 yard shots but for the typical hunter it is very good. Easy to zero in, holds true and any quick compensation for a shot is easy to identify with this scope. I recommended my buddy this same scope and he likes it just as much.

I have high end European scopes and Leupolds are ones that offer the best eyebox relief coupled with quality glass.I always come back to the great VX 3i scopes.Afforable American made scopes that deliver.
