VERNON J W : will it fit on a Olympus e-600 DSLR?DAVID C : Have two of this adapter and both fit my Olympus E-500 and E-420 well. As far as I know the E-600 uses the same 4/3 mount so the adapter should fit it, too.GLENN S : The t-mount fit perfectly on my e-410. If the 600 is a 3/4 also I would think it should fit.JAY W : I have used this adapter on both my E-520 and E-620. It seems to fit any 4/3rds mount just fineJOEJOSEPH O : sorry don't know for sure .SEBASTIAN B : Yes, as the E-600 uses the 4/3rds mounting system, which is exactly what this adapter is designed for.JP W : That's the camera I got it for. It was needed to attach a 500 mm.lens from a third party manufacter.......jpDEBBIE S : real easy to but on works well have had no problems with the adaptorRICHARD C : It fits the e510, so it should be OK on e 600BRUCE V : Yes, this adapter fits any camera with a four-thirds mount which includes all Olympus E-Series DSLRs. Note: it will NOT work on a micro four-thirds camera like the OlympusPens.EDDIE W : I have an e420 pretty sure if lenses swap it will work hope this helps
BARRY Y : Can i mount a prime lense from other makers on my e420 with this adapter?JAMES C : No, not that I'm aware of. This is designed to mount a T-mount style lens see:

There are adapters out there to mount other makers lenses on the 4/3 System bodies, but they are specific. I have one (non-Olympus brand) to mount my old OM lenses on my E-620 and E-420.JOHN C : I purchased the MMF-2 adapter which only allow you to attach an existing four thirds lens, so if the prime is a four thirds lens then the answer is yes.Dave L : In my experience I have only used T-Mount adapter onto spotting scopes and telescopes. T-Mounts typically have threads for connecting to scopes and then screwing onto a male thread ( I found M42 Pentex best for screw in/on connectors).
If you are just trying to connect to another manufacturer lens (Nikon, Canon, Pentex, etc..) then just buy the adapter for Olympus to selected brand. The thing to remember is you will be shooting in the MANUAL Mode, but the upside is you have the all of the lens of all of the manufactures available for your use, and many of them are very economical (CHEAP) to purchase.
With your "e" camera you can also put an "OM" adapter and use all of the older Olympus Zuiko Lens economically, but all will be in manual, but "TTL" will still be operational.
ROBERT N : Not sure if can be of much help here or not.
When I purchased the the T-mount it was for a specific lens I was purchasing. I found a 800mm manual lense that would work on my E-500 and my E-30. All I needed was the T-Mount to be able to use it.
After I purchased the 800mm lens, which by the way is equal to 1600mm for a 35mm camera, when the four-thirds cameras are used.
The T-mount did what it was supposed to do and worked fine. I got some very close up pictures, however the camera had to be on a good tripod to be steady.
I hope this will help, I am not a pro, however as far as I know the only other lens you can use on your E-420 are other four-third lenses, Sigma makes some, so does Sony and Leica too I believe.ROBERT R : If it is a t mount lens it will work. You will have to adjust how far the lens screws into the adaptor, so that the infinity stop of the lens is in focus on the camara when the lens is focused on a very distant object at widest aperture. On one lens (a 400mm Mamiya) I had to saw off about 4mm of the adaptor to get focus at infinity.
There is a chart somewhere on the internet that gives the distance from lens mount to focal plane for nearly all cameras.
There are a lot of t mount lenses out there with mounts attached to them for a certain brand of camera and they are not listed as t mount, because the seller does not know. A bunch of the long, slow telephoto lenses, most all mass produced mirror lenses and a bunch of oddball lenses are t mount..
I prefer an adaptor for each t mount lens, but try one first. T mount lenses can be bought dirt cheap.
Good luck...DOMINIC F : As long as the mount on the lens is a T mount. I used this adapter for a 500 mm zoom lens with t mount CALVIN H : yes. other screw mount lenses should work as a manual focus lens.ANIRUDDHA M : you can use any lens from any manufacturer as long as they are t-mount based. Usually these would be the mirror lenses. you might be able to convert some lenses to t-mount and then use them. The issue would be focusing. Most mirror lenses quite a big focus travel so it's usually not an issue - prime lenses for specific mount for eg cannon may not work so well. Also all focusing is manual.
Another great use for t-mount is for attaching your camera to a telescope - again manual focus only!ANTHONY F : Only if it has a "T" mountJOHN H : This mount allows an standards screw t-mount lens to be attached to a standard 4/3 mount camera like the 420. However all lens controls will be manual so the lens will need to have manual aperture and focus control it can't. Be controlled by the camera.ANDREW R : This adapter should work with most lenses and accessories outfitted with a T-mount thread.
Don N : I have an E-500 Olympus 4/3 mount camera . Will this T-Mount allow me to adapt a Soligor lens to the body? I think it was made by Minolta. I do know that I need an adapter that will screw on the Soligor mirror lens and adapt to the E-500..JAMES C : I'm not sure, if the Soligor lens is a T-Mount then yes; if it is a Minolta mount, then No. There may be an adapter out there to mount a Minolta mount to 4/3s.ALUN T : As long as the Soligor lens has a screw thread (standard T-mount), then it will fit the adaptor and hence the E-500. Note though that the set-up will be entirely manual, with no auto exposure or auto focus.ELLEN G : I'm not familiar with a Soligor lens, so I cannot say for sure, however my first impression is no. This adapter is designed to mate an Olympus 4/3 (500/600 series) camera to a telescope using a standard M42 thread.
You'd have to know the thread size and pitch for the Soligor lens. If it is an M42 thread with .75mm thread pitch, it should fit. If it does not meet these specs,, it will not.
Good LuckDave L : Additional note/concern, I found when I have tried to shoot through a mirror lens my visual is ok but the photo comes out with crescent shaped fracttual's all over the photo. I found mirror lens for me have been great for visual observance but lacking photo quality. Most basic photography books explain this better than I can.Dave L :
Lens Mount Adapter, T-Mount Lens 4/3 Four Thirds
I purchased this adapter to allow use of my Olympus E-510 with a telescope, giving me a massive super telephoto. It works perfectly. The adapter is well made and attaches to the camera just as you would attach a lens. If you intend to use this with a telescope, don't forget that you will also need to purchase the appropriate T-adapter to replace your telescope's eyepiece. That adapter will screw into this adapter, the assembly will attach to your camera, and the camera then replaces the eyepiece of your telescope. If you have any old T-mount lenses lying around, you can attach those to your micro four thirds camera via this adapter as well. In the camera's settings menu, set the option to "shoot manual". Focusing is done manually on the telescope or T-mount lens. I was/am concerned with the full weight of the camera on just these little threads, but in reality that is all you ever have for holding any lens. I did find that I could use a point and shoot lighter to leave hanging from the telescope. It does take a little fiddleing to get a good photo but once you are there mark the location on your adapter and you are ready for the next outing.
KEN F : I think you will find that this t-mount will work just fine, I have had no problem with mine I use it on both my E500 and E520. I bought it so I could use my old Olympus lens (non digital) on my DSL’s. You will need to remember that you will have to use the lens in manual as there will be no auto function with whatever lens you use.ROBERT R : That is what I did with it, and it worked well.JAY W : I have used it to adapt a 650mm to 1300mm t-mount lens to my E-620. It should work fine for your lens as long as it is a standard t-mount lensDAVID L : I guess the short answer is, I don't know. The lens I bought was a fixed aperture (f6.3) and it arrived ready to mount to my E-510. Doesn't fit all that tightly, but I've never had any light leaks. I'm not familiar with the lens or the mount you're attempting to use... sorry.CALVIN H : Yes I bought one and it works fine.ANTHONY F : This mount will only fit T Mount lens, check your Soligor lens...if it has a T-Mount screw, your good to go. It your Soligor lens have a Minolta mount on it you'll need a Olympus 4/3's to Minolta adapter. I hope this was a help.
