Audio return channel doesnt work. Movies look un-naturally smooth. Otherwise, a great tv.

Pros: This is my first digital, high-definition, 3D, smart TV and I love it!! I have used it for about two months now. It has beautiful, crisp picture quality in HD. The HD channels on FIOS Cable look amazing (non-HD channels are obviously not as good). DVDs and Blu-ray discs have amazing quality as well. Stunningly impressive 3D features, especially if it's your first 3D home TV experience. The sound is great as far as I am concerned, but I am just the casual viewer who has never owned home audio equipment. The 47 inch screen size is perfect for my living room. Much easier to navigate the smart TV features with the magic remote than the regular TV remote. I connect using Wi-Fi so I don't have to run the cable to the living room but you can choose to connect to ethernet for a more secure internet connection. Cons: I was super excited to use the Smart TV features when I made the purchase but most of these features have been a disappointment except for Netflix. Streaming from Netflix is very fast and awesome picture (although the first two seconds might appear fuzzy, it clears back up quickly). Even with the magic remote, it is still somewhat cumbersome to browse through the movie choices so it is much easier for me to add Netflix movies/shows onto my instant queue from the computer prior to me watching it on the TV. The web browser on this TV stinks. I have tried multiple websites and takes forever to load and/or won't load correctly. Not sure why most websites don't work on this web browser (I tried loading Pandora and it wouldn't work and I'm disappointed it doesn't come with a Pandora app to begin with). The YouTube app that this LG TV comes with is probably the worst app on here- as soon as you open this app, it loads the most random, annoying videos and loops itself over and over and there is no option to turn it off or pause it. The only way to shut it off is to either find the video you are looking for successfully or exit the app altogether. Browsing is not really an option on this YouTube app, you really need to search by the title of the video you want to view. The Smart TV features and apps can use major enhancements. Summary: I forgive the disappointing Smart TV features since it is still technically a TV and not a computer and it is a FANTASTIC TV!!! I love showing it off when guests come to my apartment.

This is my first LG. Have had Sharp and several Samsung LCD TV. Hard to beat the Samsung, but the LG does a great job lining up against it. The 3D point/click motion remote is awesome. Super easy to use and works much better than the gazillion button remote. Very innovative. Like using a mouse in the air. Nice that it comes with both remotes. Super sharp image with 240HZ display. Love the ultra thin size. Lies flat against wall. Integration with my LG 3D Bluray player is great. Itegration is not quite as nice as my Samsung. But certainly no complaints with the LG. I really like the TV. Would buy again or recommend to a friend.

Pros: 1. I had previously purchased photographic equipment from Adorama but not electronics. I was apprehensive as the TV was on backorder but it was shipped as soon as some stock came in. Keep it up, Adorama. 2. The TV uses Passive 3D technology which means you do not need expensive, proprietary glasses to watch 3D content. Normal $ 3D glasses would do just fine. You could even use the ones they give in the theaters. The TV comes with 4 3D glasses in the box. 3. The 2D picture is outstanding. I've played Blu-rays and couldn't stop raving about the picture while watching the movies. My wife had to shut me up. I'm not a big 3D fan and have not seen 3D content yet but one of my friends has the same TV, only bigger, and he says 3D picture quality is good too. 4. Tons of input options, 4 HDMI ports, one USB port, one Digital Audio port. I experimented a lot with connecting the TV with my Home Theater and PS3. If you need help, email me. 5. It supports ARC and SIMPLINK, if those're useful to you. 6. It's DLNA certified which means you could access content on any DLNA server on your network. Cons: 1. Adorama charged me $11.0 for changing my delivery preference. I was expecting that being a large business, they'd not pass this onto me but I sucked it up anyway. 2. The sound is good enough for everyday programming but not thrilling. However, that's true with other LED TVs too. If you are a audiophile, consider getting a Home Theater. 3. The apps could use some improvement, especially the YouTube app. LG, are you listening? All in all, I'd recommend this TV to anyone looking for a good LED TV without breaking the bank. Obviously, if you can afford, go for the full Array Backlit ones but dollar for dollar, this one is as good as it gets with Edge-lit LED TVs. Good job LG.

I'm loving this TV so far. It has a great 2D HD image and in the couple of 3D scenes I've seen, it also looks great. The 2D-to-3D conversion is quite impressive, though not as "deep" as native 3D (or course). At the moment I am only using the Netflix and Pandora apps. The latter isn't so great because this sound-only app points out this TV's only weak point: its sound. While not horrible, I'll be looking for a sound bar to add to the bedroom. A minor nit - I wish it had an additional coax input for an air antenna.

Long overdue. I replaced a perfectly good JVC analog TV 'cause I wanted a new toy. And this turned out to be the best purchase I made in a long time. Easy to set up, works beautifully, and was at a great price. I don't think anyone could go wrong with this television

I love the tv and i got a good value at 950 but I had it for 2 weeks now and I still can't get the settings wright. Also the interface is slow. And I consider myself a nerd wen it comes to electronics. Other than that it's a great value

This replaced a 31" JVC crt that was years old but still worked fine. Just wanted a newer TV and wanted to try 3D. This was on sale for a great price. Easy to setup and connect to my network. Addeed 3D Bluray player and XBox 360 at the same time and all mesh with no problems. This was a great purchase.

I have the playstation 3D display and this TV is way way better than the active 3D. A lot less ghosting and excellent 3D. Active display is way too dark to be any good.

Excellent delivery and price from Adorama. Heck, I wish it was still that price I'd consider ordering a second. Excellent TV. Only complaint is that the pointer setup on the remote is difficult for fingers to use. I have to keep looking at it to find where to hit after hitting the wrong area. Only other problem was with TruMotion turned on. This feature to me did the opposite of smoothing out the motion and made stutters appear. It also made the picture look almost "real" when it wasn't stuttering. You have to see this "real" to understand it. Turning off TruMotion got rid of all the motion freezes.

Easy to set up. I was pleased that the WI-FI worked without problems. I have had cable problems that appear to be attributable to the cable company. I selected the 3D feature to be abreast of developing technology. However, I am discovering that 3D material is limited and expensive, making the 3D feature marginal.

Lewis didn't steer me wrong when he suggested this TV. It does way more than this 66 year old will ever need, but I intend to learn it all and use whatever applies to me. The only bad thing was that it did come on a Monday, like Lewis said it would, but it was the Monday after Thanksgiving instead of the one before, so my family didn't get to enjoy it.

This is truly a awesome TV. Has all I need for a good while. Never understood the difference of the Mhz, until I seen someone else's TV that was a 240mhz. It was a truly lightbulb moment of the differences between the 120mhz to the 240mhz. Would recommend this LG6500 to anyone that will listen!

This is the TV to buy. For the money, no better deal out there. Dynamite picture, passive 3D that works, upscaling 2D to 3D that is amazing. Easy set up. Reliable wireless. Easy updates to firmware. Sound is weak like all flat panels, plan to hook up an amp. The biggest thing I would change is to let me hook a wireless keyboard to the unit for apps and web surfing. No problem, I use a hooked up computer anyway. Has optical audio output so you may need a converter for older audio systems. Get off the fence and buy this TV!

I bought this LG over the Samsung 55" LED 3D TV primarily due to the price and I couldn't be happier. The picture quality is fantastic. Solid blacks, crisp whites, and very clear. I don't think the LG is as reflective as the Samsung which works great for our room as we have a lot of natural light coming through on 3 sides. The 2D-3D scaling is ok but wouldn't consider it full 3D. Real 3D is awesome with the glasses. The only issue I have is the sound. Its good, not great and the volume level does not go very high. Not sure you could expect more from a 2" thick TV which is why I still gave it 5 stars. If you like to "feel" the sound or live in a noisy area, expect to buy a sound bar or speakers to go with it. I would buy this with 100% confidence and recommend it to anyone.

I like the TV, but it does not have as sharp/vibrant picture that the 4yr old Philips LCD I replaced had. I also have bad flash lighting on the left side of the screen. It is so bad LG authorized a repair. I was told from the repair shop my only options are to have the panel replaced(or send the tv back for another unit). As the service is free and in-home, I took the "replace the panel option" which will be done this week.

Bought this TV and had it shipped to my son and his family as a Christmas gift....I based all of my opinions on his remarks to me. He stated the picture was awesome. Everything was very well packaged when he received it from Adoroma. My son was stuck on another brand of TV, said he was so glad I did not listen to him. Could not find a better price anywhere then Adoroma's for this TV model. He said everything was very simple to setup and the wifi hooked up with out a problem. Him and his family love everything about this TV!!!

I use it for tv, movies (dvd, blueray and streaming) and games. The tv really lives up to its hype. For HD materials the image is awesome. The sound quality is very reasonable for a tv this thin. Firmwares are good. The connections are all very easy to set up. I highly recommend this product.

We are very satisfied with this selection, it is all that I wished for in an HD TV, low power use, dynamite picture, good TV supplied apps, solid support and simple installation. We'll use it for a long time.... tremendous depth of field!

I did a lot of comparison shopping before deciding on the LG 47LW6500. The picture is sharp, and the 3d effect is amazing. Best of all, the passive 3d technology means I don't have to spend a fortune equipping my family with active 3d glasses! This is a great TV.

I was in the market for an LG 3D TV and when this deal came up I had to pull the trigger. This TV is rated one of the top TVs for 2011. The only thing you may regret is not going for a 55inch, but the 47inch is perfect for my living. The speakers are not bad considering how thin the TV is for watching regular shows, but you will want a sound bar to go with it for movies. The 2D to 3D conversion is neat too. LG's passive 3D is the way to go. It's cheaper and looks great to the average viewer.

Great TV, lots of function abilities. The only pro: it doesn't have many languages support.

If you enjoy the depth, realism and entertainment of 3D at the theater, you'll love having it at home with LG Cinema 3D on the 47LW6500 TV. And it's not just 3D. It's crisp 3D on a brilliant LED Plus display. On top of that, it's locked and loaded with virtually limitless entertainment capabilities of LG Smart TV. Staying in has never looked better. This is what home entertainment is all about.
