This is an incredibly frustrating monitor to use. When you're reading something it dims really quickly making it difficult to read. Reader mode is unavailable for some reason. There's nothing in the manual about it. The only question about reader mode was answered mistakenly about enabling HDR. Image cleaning happens really frequently and if I just stepped away for a couple minutes it takes forever to turn the monitor back on. Really really poor user experience compared to LCD monitors.

Too finicky monitor keeps lowering the brightnees as I work. Very annoying tendency. Great monitor awesome display but not thrilled by the auto dim thing. I have hwd it for two plus years, so it is road tested. No firmware update either, USB-C update feature never worked. Did not find this out until I tried to update and I was out of warranty.... :(

picture quality is phenomenal, as one would expect from an LG OLED. however, as a COMPUTER monitor, this display is a major fail. No auto source switching? Only one DP port and TWO HDMI ports??? Hey man, my computers have 3 DP ports and one HDMI. Why does your dedicated PC OLED reverse this? DP port is the only significant reason to run this over a C2. The remote is a monstrosity with all of about 8 buttons. It reminds me of those aftermarket TV remotes designed for grandparents battling cataracts and 1" thick bifocals. The failure to auto detect and change inputs, however, is killer. main reason for 2-star deduction.

The biggest problem I had was that it doesn't fit under a shelf I have part of my desk so I had to do some rearranging. Colors are bright and crisp, but I've gone down form a 3-monitor set up to just two. Not complaining, third monitor moved upstairs and it's desk space will be used for other hobbies. It complains about the resolution settings sometimes when I play games that were never designed for current formats, but it's just a little notice at the bottom of the screen that goes away after a few seconds.

I ordered this product on LGs 4th of July sale. I successfully gave my payment info and received a confirmation. I saw a bunch of reviews saying it was cancelled so I REACHED OUT to LG to confirm. I was then contacted by customer service who said it was cancelled and would be refunded within 3-5 business days (this was on 10 JULY). Fast forward, multiple emails, calls, complaints about awful customer service. Getting passed between departments. I AM STILL WAITING for this charge to come off my card. This is without a doubt the worst customer care I've ever experienced. They are legit holding my money. I was told I would be contacted by a supervisor and still nothing.

I bought this by mistake thinking it was a tv , It took quite a while to get a shipping label to return it. I have not seen any money returned to my account ($843 dollars approximately). You do have good products but returning anything is a nightmare!!!!!!! Product is not poor as I did not open the package because I realized my mistake prior to recieving to receiving a gaming monitor instead of a tv.

Love the second OLED monitor purchased from LG (5/29/24) with "LG Premium Care by Asurion for 1 years" within last 12 months. "Your LG Premium Care Service Plan documentation will be sent via email within the next 5-10 business days" per order page - no email as of today (7/9/24). Called LG support department on order page then transferred (told to call) LG Premium Care department then called back (told to call back) LG support department - both departments failed to resolve a simple task of providing LG Premium Care Service Plan documentation (shocking)!

I was told my order, placed on June 24, was canceled because the item was discontinued. However, I see that you are still selling this "discontinued" item at an attractive price to customers. Not only are you selling this item, but you are also charging customers and holding our money for weeks before canceling. I didn't receive any email updates or notifications. Your agents just say I will get a refund in 3 days, but I still haven't received it. This practice is known as bait and switch, which is illegal. It involves advertising a product at an attractive price to entice customers and then failing to deliver the product, while holding onto the customers' money. This is deceptive and fraudulent behavior. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the consumer protection agency to report these illegal practices. Consumers should not be misled and financially inconvenienced by such dishonest tactics. I urge LG to rectify this situation immediately and ensure it does not happen to other Certainly! Similar to the other recent reviews, I was excited to get this monitor, but they held onto my funds and then cancelled my order right as the sale was ending. I called and asked support why my order was cancelled. The customer support agent was helpful in looking at my case and wasn't sure why it was cancelled either. Later that day I got a call and they said that the item is out of stock/discontinued, which is strange since the website shows that I can "Add to Cart". They later released my funds now that the sale is over. However, it's really unfortunate because I was really excited to get the monitor at such a good price.

These people are scammers. They charged my card and held my money for two weeks. Then they said the monitor was on backorder. They waited for the day the sale eded and immediately cancelled my order and released my money. They basically took my money and borrowed it (probably in a high interest account) and released it two weeks later. This is a scam. I can't believe a big company like lg would do some could stuff like this.

I wish I had a good review for this monitor but I dont. Why? LG did the same thing as to the previous user. Just held on to the funds and just before the sale was done the order was canceled. I've inquired and was told because the item is out of stock and discontinued. Yes the item was out of stock over the weekend but suddenly come 7/1 you are able to add to cart again for a higher price. Old bait and switch. I was told I could repurchase it again. Really? that's your solution? I will take my business elsewhere.

This is a heartbreaking review to write. I am and have been a huge fan of the OLED technology for years now. My first OLED product was a 65 inch LG a series and it started getting discolored within its second year, with no warranty to cover it. I bought this monitor in hopes of reinvigorating my love for LG's OLED panel, making sure to buy the extended warranty this time. I was completely appalled to find out that I got a monitor in the mail, that had vertical lines going down the left side of the screen. I spent several hours on the phone with LG, who initially harassed me to set up my brand new monitor for service, which I declined because I wanted it replaced. The final resolution they forced me into doing was sending my monitor back, which they did do their job and refunded me immediately. So I'm here yet again with no love for LG products, given that I'm at 2 and 2 with bad experiences and they obviously don't want me to have their product in my house, because they forced me into refund over replacement. I ended up taking my money and bought the gigabyte ultra wide OLED 49" and it's so far so good. I wish LG would've made things right for me. I really didn't want to be an anti LG guy. It is what it is and buyers beware.

Ordered on 06/14/2024 received on 06/21/2024. Unboxed and hooked up on 06/21/2024. When the monitor is on there is a gawd awful loud constant clicking noise that can be heard over my headset. Don't tell me this normal because it's not. Either send another monitor or I want a refund.

I loved it so much I bought a second one (after selling an QLED ultrawide) 4.5 stars. If this is your first OLED, you're going to be stunned over and over again. And you'll never look at a 'normal' display the same again. Pros: - Perfect black levels. Makes everything else look dark blue when on a black screen. Will ruin other display technologies for you. - Great color out of the box. - 120hz is more than enough for gaming, and makes regular computer work easier on the eyes. - Great HDR. You can just leave HDR on. Try Nvidia's 'AI' HDR up-scaling, which makes your SDR content a lot closer to HDR automatically. - The anti-reflective coating works great! It helps to amplify the super-dark black levels. This thing is like a huge square void in space. My other screens look like mirrors now. - Lots of little features included, like the USB hub, headphone jack, optical audio out, nifty little controller. Cons: - It's an OLED, so you do have to baby it a bit to prevent burn-in. There are features that make burn-in all but impossible, but you'll be fighting them. It was especially annoying when trying to hook up this monitor to an uncooperative PC. I was trying to get a signal by changing settings on the PC, and the monitor was constantly shutting off/going into pixel cleaning. This isn't really a bug with the monitor, but it was quite aggressive. - It's shockingly heavy. I replaced a 42" tv with this monitor, and it's easily twice as heavy. This might not really be a con for most people. - The speakers are some of the best built-ins I've ever heard, and even so, they are... not good. But this is to be expected.

This is a fantastic display. It's great as a monitor to display multiple apps simultaneously, or as a TV to enjoy your shows in 4k.

After 18 years I needed to replace a Panasonic 50" plasma monitor for living room viewing. The 48GQ900-B is on my wall now. OLED is a good replacement for a plasma monitor. Dramatically more pixels 800%. Much brighter and smooth like the plasma. I had a wall mounting bracket and was surprised that I had to run out to a hardware store to get the four metric bolts to attach the bracket to the monitor. We are enjoying the viewing experiece

I bought this a month ago and I love it, despite having a couple of issues: - The monitor I originally bought developed horizontal lines that wouldn't go away despite doing image cleaning. I had to return that, and get another one - Despite that issue, the monitor is gorgeous. The colors are sharp, and everything renders fantastically, I find this better than having two 27' side by side. - The USB hub built-in is very useful! it helps me switch b/w the mac & PC seamlessly. - The audio jack in front of the monitor is very useful - I personally like the giant remote : it shows up whenever I need it!

Overall I would say this monitor is pretty good. I did have some issues with the one I got within a couple weeks with screen tearing/damaged pixels, but this may have been a one off as the box was slightly damaged on one of the handles, so it was probably mishandled and prolonged use at 12-14 hours a day was enough to over time cause that to happen. Grab it when its discounted. 1400 normal price(microcenter) I would say not worth that. The monitor itself is pretty durable it seemed, with a quality display up to that point. Easily wiped with microfiber to clean it of any blemishes and a semi-gloss that somehow didn't create reflections or glare from outside light sources. Given the one off oops from how it was handled in store and the resulting consequence over time, honestly, it's pretty nice. Has micro movements and refresh to prevent dead pixels from happening to increase image lifespan. I would say just don't use max brightness as that will decrease lifespan and increase the chance for dead pixels and burn in even with the refresh.

I purchased mine back on Black Friday on sale for $700 and I'm very happy I took a chance on it. For starters, this is first and foremost a gaming monitor, if you're using it for anything else and complaining YOU'RE WRONG ! Absolutely beautiful picture quality. I had zero issues assembling and getting mine setup out of the box and running at 138Hz refresh rate. Mine also came from the factory with the newest firmware. My 4080 RTX has no issues pushing this monitor to its limits.

Excellent monitor, brightness is good for a PC monitor, blacks are perfect as expected, nice to have 3 HDMI 2.1 plus a DP 1.4. OLED care features work good. I bought it for Black Friday and haven't had any issue, EXCEPT for the optical audio out. For a monitor of this price range I'd expect a working optical out, but nope. The quality of the audio extraction process is awful, audio comes muffled, like if it were a mono stream. I had to buy an extra HDMI extractor box that goes for almost $100 to get decent audio. I tried different cables, issue comes either on HDMI o DP, no matter the source (PC, PS5, Switch). Did an FW update that was due for the monitor but it did not fix this issue. If you're going to use the integrated speakers or have another way to get audio get it, but if you want to centralize many inputs into just one audio output, be prepared to spent an additional $100 for an HDMI audio extractor.

Overall its an okay monitor.. Good enough resolution; however, I came from the C2 and no webOS / magic remote integration was a disappointment. Also, the optical audio is terrible. Muffed sounds for everything.

I purchased the 48GQ900-B during Black Friday for 50% off which I think is a great value for what you're getting. This will actually be my third one as I have greatly enjoyed the product and I'm looking to create a more immersive environment for movies, gaming, and even every day browsing. The first two have over 3500 hours of use combined and no issues so far. Many people are wary of OLED due to the real possibility of burn-in, or they are simply unaware that OLED requires a bit more care than your standard LED/LCD monitor we're familiar with at work. But visual quality is simply on another level compared to LED/LCD due to OLED's infinite contrast ratio and enabling HDR mode in Windows. Movies and gaming take on a real cinematic quality that you have to see live and up-close to appreciate as screenshots will never do it justice. It's important to remember that this OLED is designed to function like a monitor and NOT like a TV. As a result, there is a slow auto-dimming feature (to prevent burn-in) that cannot be disabled (through normal means) if you remain on a static screen. This, of course, is not an issue if you're watching a movie or gaming as the scene is always changing. In fact, I usually crank the brightness up to 90 or 100 with no issues. Modern OLEDs are designed to last nearly 100,000 hours through good care so if you do decide to purchase an OLED, just a few tips: - Keep the brightness generally low if not doing any serious entertainment media. I keep mine from 0-10 most of the time. This is brighter than you would think in a room that gets plenty of natural sunlight and I have no issues reading what's on screen. - Static screens are the enemy of OLEDs! Instead of some dazzling picture for your PC background desktop, make it just solid black. Solid black on an OLED means the pixels are off and will reduce the wear on them. - Let the system complete its "image cleaning" process after prolonged use to keep the display refreshed and in good condition. - Enable "Screen Move" in the OLED care settings from the remote. This will move what's shown on screen very subtly at the pixel level to help prevent burn-in. It's barely noticeable. This is off be default.

Monitor Noob pulled the trigger and am overwhelmed
By Tageeboy
Bought this due to a recent sale. Prior to this purchase I was using a basic 1080p curved monitor setup for gaming and daily work activities. Out of the box this monitor has floored me. Granted I am making a huge jump from my old monitors but I never expected such a massive difference. The blacks are on point and the colors are breath taking. I still have to learn about the features and how to take advantage of a lot of the options but so far (2 days in) I am like a kid in a candy store. I st...

I was expecting a larger monitor to allow me to view more of my game but what I got was a whole lot more than additional screen size. OLED brought a whole new gaming experience to my screen. Colors are only the beginning, depth of the blacks, sharpness of details, pixel perfection is how I can describe this gaming monitor, void of excuses.
