Love the ease of use with this stand. It's solid and I'm not worried about anything toppling over (would advise sand bags in windy situations of course) but it's amazing. I'll need another!!

I've had the CheetahStand c12 for a few years and wanted one that was just a little lighter. I love the collapsible legs on the Cheetahs. It makes the shooting on location so much easier. Super portable.

These stands helped speed up my flow during the wedding day so much. I ordered two of them and have them in a transporting case that makes it even easier getting to and from shoots. Love these stands and if I ever need more, I will pick up the C10 again.

As an event photographer, I cannot leave home without my Cheetah Stand. I need to move about quickly and the design of the self collapsing legs of this stand makes that possible.

Does what it's supposed to! Love how sturdy these stands are. Very portable, though a bit heavier than other stands I've used. The convenience of quick setup is totally worth it though.

For event photographers these are a godsend. The legs fold in as soon as you lift them up so you don't bash people on the ankle when moving from place to place.

In principle, I like the Cheetah stands, but after using them for months what I dont care for primarily is the additional weight over other stands. The other draw back I found out is if you are working in a low ceiling room (like my basement studio) then having to lift the stands up a ways to move them around can be annoying. That being said, they are heavy and well built and should last a long time if you need the extra durability over cheap stands.

Great stand! Exactly what I was expecting and what was described. Works great for wedding receptions with a Flash and a Rapid box attached.

The Cheetahstand C10 is easily a a four star product and the only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it's not air cushioned. I am aware that an air cushioned version of this and the other two stands (C8 and C12) are now being produced. Hopefully Adorama will begin carrying the air cushioned versions as well. In any event this is a solid product that works exactly as described. It's ideal for wedding photography/cinematography (we do both) since it can be easily handled with a single hand and allows for quick movement through really tight spaces. I hope you find this review helpful.

This IS a specialist light stand and you need to take it for what it is: a light stand that is extremely quick to pick up and set down while being narrow enough during transport to get it even through crowded places and tight spaces. Yes, specialist does mean trade offs. It's heavier than other 10 ft stands. It's way more expensive than other 10 ft stands. It is not air cushioned. And its footprint is not as wide as that of other stands so it will be not quite as stable with umbrellas. You may also encounter some problems when setting it up on soft ground (grass) or crowded floors (cables). It may not open and you will need to use a hand to manually pull it open. It will also not stay opened if you just want to lift it up an inch and move it over a bit. With all that said, it is a heaven sent for many on-location shooters and lone warriors. Have you ever tried to transport two open light stands with two heavy pro cameras dangling from you? You will know what I mean. Thus: five stars.

After reading the review by David, I felt I had to reply as his comments were totally unfair. First up I am not associated in any way with Cheetah Stand, only a customer. The C10 he was not happy with, well for starters it has **never** claimed to have air-cushioning, and you most certainly do not use it outdoors without having a perfectly flat even ground, since it opens up with a 'set' foot display, not like a 3-legged tripod where you could adjust the legs individually. It's meant to be used primarily indoors, especially in churches where you can pick it up and walk between the pews like I do. Do I use it outside, yep, but I do not extend it right up, with a CL360 on it, and have the battery clamped down low. Edward, of Cheetah Stand goes out of his way to help customers, and even he was immediately helpful with me when a battery was faulty, he had a new one already shipped before I could even send mine and I am in Australia. Now, to the C12, it's a much much sturdier stand, but again, you have to have flat even ground, since the legs fold out with straight bars on bottom along the surface you are putting it on, not individual like different tripods. The C12 is thicker tubing, air-cushioned, and works brilliantly, only when used correctly. There is no way I would try to put it on uneven ground/surface without an assistant holding it to stability, and once again, you need to consider the right tool for the job. No use handing someone a screwdriver when they need a spanner so to speak.

i have the profoto B1 flash. as a wedding photographer that use on a changing location the B1 with out an assistant, i hoped that the C10 will solve me this problem with is unique folding legs. i was about too buy the C12 when i read that the C10 can support up too 9 pounds and i felt that its best for me when i shoot outdoor. however this light stand is not as I expected it to be at all. for start there is no Air Cushioned or springs too protect yourself and your flash, that's mean that if accidentally you open the Locking Collars a bit the flash will slam down and can brake. second and most disporting is that its really don't feel steady, even when i open it half way the light stand is wobbling very very bad, that's make me feel unsafe too put on it a a 2,000$ flash. for last i must point out that i contact "cheetah stand" to ask them why they did not added Air Cushioned or springs to the light stand ? and the answer was a bit shocking that made me feel even more insecure abouttrusting them with my equipment they answer me with 6 word "Such a light weight stand,No need air " no greeting or serious explanation. just this words that don't make any since to me i will not trust somebody that choose this way to answer is clients because of the wobbling issue i will not try the C12 because i believe it's have the same issue. so that what i think about this light stand however.. let me finish this review with something positive. if you use small camera flashes not expensive and you are not afraid to brake them ? so you will enjoy the folding legs because its really useful in some cases.
