About Lowell Manufacturing P875X-6

Steel backbox for recessed installation of an 8" speaker (or Lowell Unihorn Model No. LUH-15T) in a ceiling or wall. Precision formed and welded 20-gauge steel has side slots for depth adjustment in areas where surface varies in material, depth or evenness.

Lowell Manufacturing P875X-6 Features

  • Steel backbox with black powder epoxy finish
  • 8.813" square x 6" deep (0.270 cu.ft. volume)
  • 0.5"-0.75" compound knockouts for conduit access
  • Undercoating and foam pad are included to eliminate acoustic and mechanical resonance
  • Two sides of the backbox have (1"L) parallel slots on 7" centers to facilitate depth adjustment in areas where the ceiling/wall surface varies in material, depth or evenness. Slots may also be used to attach channel rails in suspended tile ceilings (order rails separately)
  • Corner has recessed, die-formed mounting tabs with 8- 32 screw retaining U-clip for grille installation. Recessed clip position assures protected accessibility in plaster or poured concrete applications
  • Made in the U.S.A. with certified U.S. steel
