The Meopta Meostar R2 2.5-15x56 Riflescope with Illuminated Redzone 4C Reticle is not only the first in the new R2 line, but also Meopta's first riflescope with a 6x zoom ratio. Designed to be the ultimate low-light choice for big game hunting, the MeoStar R2 2.5-15x56 RD provides crystal-clear resolution and edge-to-edge clarity needed for challenging shooting conditions.

Each lens is multicoated with Meopta's proprietary MeoBright 5501 anti-reflective coating to maximize light transmission and enhance image contrast. Most manufactures can boast high light transmission numbers because they coat for the 550nm (bright sunlight) range. However, Meopta lenses are coated to optimize to the 650nm range which makes for better twilight performance. This is the perfect scope for dangerous game when every split second counts and lethal shot placement is a must.

To go along with the durable construction and high quality glass, the MeoStar series of optics features MeoTrak II posi-click windage and elevation turrets that is finger adjustable. The turret design provides tactile and audible feedback that confirms the 1/4 MOA impact point corrections without requiring the observer to take their eye off the field of view. These turrets also employ an improved erector that uses positive resistance to ensure precise adjustments and maintain zero even when subjected to recoil from heavy caliber rifles.

All of the exposed glass surfaces of Meopta rifle scopes are multicoated with Meopta's proprietary MeoShield abrasion resistant coating that protects against light scratches and helps moisture roll off the lens surface. The MeoQuick fast-focus eyepiece enables rapid focus adjustment in addition to rendering edge-to-edge sharpness and a comfortable 3.5" eye relief.

MeoDrop is a proprietary hydrophobic lens coating designed to repel water, grease, skin oils and lens surface contaminates that can impair clarity. This microscopic hydrophobic layer applied to all external lens surfaces repels water so that rain and moisture forms a tight ball and simply rolls off the lens surface.
