Ok, let me first say that the concept for this product is top notch. But the execution is lacking. I find that I can use the mount a handful of times before I have to replace it with a new one. Perhaps this is acceptable due to the affordability of the item, but I think we can do better as far as longevity. Once the mount wears out, it no longer holds the lens in place, and it wobbles to the point that I am worried the lens will fall off.

The plastic mount broke. I was in the middle of shooting a video, did a 90 degree sharp turn to catch the people I was filming, and the lens just fell off. Then I saw that the plastic was broken and it might have been chipped before and just gave in. I watched my lens rolling on the floor terrified ??

I've tried 4 lens mounts in two different cases and my lens is loose in all of them. It fits tightly in my pixel 3 case but not in these.

It?s plastic, durable plastic, but it will still snap if you?re not careful. It?s probably my imagination but the replacement feels more durable then the one included with my case that broke.

I was so excited to finally be able to use this system. I?ve had my 12 pro max for almost two years, and have wanted to get one of these lenses in the worst way. Well the day finally came and the lens and case I?d ordered arrived. The plastic insert broke with barely any force while trying to install in the case. It is the only mount that was included with the case. Nothing comes with the lens. So still can?t use the lens. On top of that, just out of curiosity, I tried to twist the lens into the mount insert to familiarize myself with how it inserts (seeing as how it was already broken, I figured I?d practice on this one). Guess what? The lens doesn?t even fit! The lens paddles/arms that twist into the mount don?t fit over the plastic. ie: the plastic is too thick. The icing on the cake is the rest of the mount shattered into multiple pieces at even a slight bit of force. So, this is seriously disappointing for such a seemingly high quality lens system. This does not instill confidence in the durability of this system.

The lenses are metal. This mount is plastic. The metal quickly wear these plastic out, and the will eventually in a short time need replacement. It only took about two days of switching lenses for me to wear out the mount, and had to replace it. Please make a more durable solution.

So, last year I bought the case for my iPhone 12 Pro, and at that time I placed a comment talking about the drop-in lens mount fragility, and how it doesn't fit quite well for certain lenses (Fisheye 15mm, for instance). Comparing to the previous versions of the iPhone case, which I had been using until got my new phone - still in a good shape - this new design is very bad. My old mount cracked after 6 months of using, and this new one isn't looking promising. I use my lens every weekend, and I presume this is something that won't last longer. If you want to buy, please mind you'll probably need some spares. :)

It breaks easily ... When I rotated it 90 degrees according to the instructions to set the Moment wide-angle lens, it was very stiff, and when I turned it with force, and it was broken, it is not once or twice. Then, I always have to have some spare. Customer serviser aren't bad. but I wish if it will be more strong. By the way, I have never attached well it to 90 degesad without broken.
