This is a solid camera bag. It's well constructed with very high quality zippers. The only issue I have with this bag is that it lacks a laptop compartment. That's why I rated it 4/5

Fits all my gear which is what I was looking for- 3 DSLR cameras with lenses attached with room to spare. Too big for me at 5'5" to use as a backpack though.

Too large for my use so I returned it, but what a great bag. If the smaller version wasn’t so expensive, it would be mine. I recommend it for shooters with gigantic telephoto lenses only.

I am very pleased with this backpack. It is big enough to hold five lenses of wich one is 600mm. It holds the camera w/grip, battery charger, flash and all the other accessories I have and it has room to spare. The backpack seems to be very well made.

Very well-made bag, with a usable layout. The only disappointment is the lack of a place for a laptop computer. The comfort of the shoulder straps is yet to be determined, but I really like how they can be secured unlike my current Tamrac bag.

This is a very large bag. I usually use my pelican case when I fly because I feel that protects my gear. I have had to downsize my gear bag at the airport because the plane was not allowing roll on’s and bags like the MindShift Moose Peterson MP -1 V2 bags into the cabin of the airplane. Luckily I had also brought a large messenger style camera bag for my other carry on. By switching out stuff from that bag that I was not needed to my pelican case, and fit most of my camera kit in the messenger bag ( gripped D850, gripped D750, Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 G2, Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8, Nikon 60mm f/2.8 macro, plus all of the spare batteries. It was a very tight fit for all of that gear, and I wouldn’t recommend carrying that messenger bag very far, but it worked too get my gear on the plane and not the cargo bay. The only lens that did not fit in the bag was my Nikon 300mm f/2.8 super prime. The airline gave me a plastic bag to put my lens in, and I did have the padded bag on the end of my lens to help protect it. I wedged everything into the overhead as best as I could. Luckily everything survived the trip. I think that can actually fit more gear into my MP bag, so I would have been in a bad way if I had to transfer everything over to my messenger bag. The reason I bought the Moose Peterson was to be able to put my 300mm f/2.8 prime attached to the camera with the lens hood on so that I can have quick access to my gear that is ready to go at a moments notice. When I am not using it, it is all safe in the bag. I can fit my other camera with my 70-200 f/2.8 attached (if I take out the divider between the two compartments, I can also attach the lens hood. I think that this bag is probably best for a “car” bag. You can drive around in your car with this bag on your front seat, knowing that your gear is safe, and you have quick access. (And yes, it is also a good bag for back packing your gear out into the wild for wildlife photography, because it will carry a ton of gear). I do sports photography, and sometimes I don’t have a lot of time to set up my gear when I get to an event, so it’s nice to know that I can get my gear ready to go ahead of time. Also, sometimes I shoot high school golf matches. They give me a golf cart, so it’s nice to have a bag like this as I am bouncing around the golf course, and my gear is ready to go at a moments notice.

Excellent bag for the professional or amateur. Great for traveling with a 600mm, two bodies, five or six lenses and flash. Covers close automatically to prevent dust entry (they don’t zip closed unassisted) and the bag fits easily into any overhead compartment or beneath seat. Shoulder straps quite comfortable. Easily configurable interior division. Sufficient padding to protect equipment, however, bag should be handled with a degree of care when setting down on flat surface. Not for tossing into the trunk. I’m very happy with my Mindshift MP-1 V2.0 backpack. After a few temporary layouts of my gear, I was able to find the right set up for me. And, of course, I can change it any time I want depending on my needs. Currently, I have two camera bodies; and 10-24, 24-70, 70-200, 300 lenses, along with a flash unit, filters, memory cards, etc. While there is no dedicated space for a laptop (maybe something to add in V3.0), I can fit my laptop inside. I love that it’s TSA approved size for carryons so I can keep my gear with me when I fly. This is a great backpack that should fit just about any photographers needs.

Recently purchased this bag, and used it twice at events. Holds my D750 with the 200-500 zoom on the big side, and the D500 with the 70-200 mounted on the smaller side. Both bodies with grips, with lots of room for speedlights and additional smaller lenses. Sturdy build with LOTS of room for gear. I don't normally carry a laptop or tablet to events, so for me, the lack of laptop storage is not an issue. Love this bag!

Looks good, large enough to carry 2 tripods, 1 large scope, 2 Sony DSLR Camera’s, with 24-70 mm and 70-200 mm lens along with extra batteries, and a-sundry equipment. The design is excellent in having sufficient straps and padding to customize the way I want to they type of equipment that needs to be carried. The only negative it is not an Overnight Back Pack. However it is not designed to be such to trek miles and stay overnight.

This bag comes with many inserts for just about all possible combinations. Comes with zippered pouches under the zippered flaps for carrying small light items. A very versatile bag/backpack. A Nikon 400mm f/2.8 lens fits with room to spare.

The bag arrived well packed and in great condition. The construction and quality of materials was the usual Mindshift standard. This bag easily holds my 500mm lens with body, the 100-400mm zoom, along with the 11-24 and 16-35 zooms and a couple of filters. While fully loaded, it weighs quite a bit but, I plan to use it to transport my equipment in the car. Adorama selection and service was fantastic as always.

I got this for only one reason, stiff spacious, resits collapse to cary and deploy exterior lighting equipment such as diffusers reflectors and such. It's a rigid enclosure around thin frame parts of pokers. stabers, cross members that I use for outdoor close up landscapes.

The pack was exactly as described, solidly built, but I should have read the description better. It has no pocket or sleeve for a tablet or laptop and I missed that before purchase. I returned it, as I want a bag that has space for my laptop/tablet for downloading and post processing. I really liked the way the straps could be contained and the multiple carrying options.

I bought the MP-1 to allow me to carry a large super telephoto and a Tamron 150-600 mm zoom, plus a shorter zoom, all attached to cameras for quick access while hiking. I tried fitting Canon 400 and 600 mm lenses attached to a Canon 5DS-R equipped with a battery grip, an "L" bracket, and a teleconverter into the long side. (For the 600 the teleconverter was a 1.4; while for the 400 it was a doubler. The lenses sported replacement feet by Wimberley and Kirk.) Hoods were reversed. The 600 was a snug fit, but the 400 fit easily. By re-positioning a divider between compartments on the other side of the pack, I squeezed in two cameras equipped with battery grips, "L" brackets, and zoom lenses. One was the Tamron 150-600; the other was the Canon 24-105 L IS. Hoods were reversed. Weighing the pack containing three sets of cameras, lenses, teleconverter, grips, and brackets on bathroom scales, I came up with 29 lb. The bag included shoulder straps, waist belt, rain cover, and tripod ties. (The Canon 600 mm and 400 mm lenses with teleconverters weigh about the same.) There was still room inside for smaller items. An empty compartment under the top handle was large enough for a flash gun. My backpacking tripod, equipped with leveler, and gimbel head, weighs another 5 lb. It can be tied to the side or back. (I prefer the side to permit faster access to all compartments.) This is the lightest combination I have found to carry three sets of gear. It can be made lighter by removing battery grips and "L" brackets from the cameras (A smaller "L" bracket can be attached to the body with the 24-105.) Although hoods must be removed and reversed after extraction, and equipment is stored without attached flash gear, I consider those defects to be minor, since I carry one telephoto-camera-flash-flash bracket-flash extender combination in hand for encounters while hiking. (With this assortment, that combination includes the Tamron 150-600, since it is relatively light and the most quickly adaptable.) To me, its capacity to carry multiple rigs and its weight are the crucial characteristics of the MP-1. I know of no other backpack that can match them. One can configure the bag for use as a carry-on by housing lenses removed from cameras, while using dividers and containers packaged with the MP-1. The tripod (head separated, if necessary) can be shipped in checked luggage. To obtain carry-on volume, Mind Shift traded an inch of potential thickness for the length required for a 600 mm f/4 with a teleconverter and camera attached. The MP-1 looks little like a camera bag and a lot like other carry-on luggage. (The shoulder straps can be hidden behind padding on the back of the bag, and the waist strap and tripod ties are stored inside.) Thus, by changing configurations, The MP-1 can serve as both a carry-on and as a backpack of multiple assembled lens-camera combinations without overloading the wearer. By utilizing light, thin, and efficient materials, it provides adequate protection, while minimizing weight (only about four pounds when used as a backpack.) Well done Mind Shift!
