Nitecore SC4 Superb 4-Slot Universal Charger for Lithium-Ion, NiMH and NiCD Batteries

The controls (charging rate changed manually) are hard to figure out even with instructions.  On screen channel separating lines are annoying.  I wish the lines were vertical and the numbers on screen were in boxes drawn (not some wacky 45° lines.).  A little hard to set AAA or AA batteries in it, otherwise is a decently built quality of a unit.  I also have their D2 charger and is happy with the quality of that unit, but needed to charge more batteries at a time.

I'm hoping this new SC4 lasts longer: My first SC4, purchased in Sept. 2022, may have been a lemon because it failed after 20 months of daily use, generally charging two 18650 batteries per day.  I have an I4 from 2015 that's still going strong, but needed the SC4 to charge 18350 batteries in addition to 18650s.  Here's hoping the quality has improved.

It charges my 18650 And  26700 batteries fast and safely. I love the color display and how it displays the charge Status of each battery. The design dose not hold AA and AAA batterers firmly you have to fiddle with them to make the proper contact, especially the AAA they have to be lifted off the bottom of the charger in order for this devise to recognize them. Also it is a slow charger, I was disappointed in the amount of time it took to fully charge the batteries.

Sometimes it is hard to place batteries correctly in the chambers. I don't know if they are in the right position for charging. Sometimes it just does not look centered

Unit is larger than I expected, no wall or surface mounting options. Recharges batteries as expected with some fun facts about the charge and battery health. Did not recover any dead lithuim cells I had laying around, my older charger did better. Even thought it has some short comings, It does work well with all the different sizes and types.

I have started a collection of LED Flashlights and as a result have quite a few batteries to charge. \Ordered the SC4. It arrived 2 days early and was put to immediate use. So far it has worked well. I like the fact that I can see the charging parameters for each battery in the charger. I will probably be ordering one for church to charge batteries for our wireless microphones. Nice product. Weems to be built very well.

This is my second charger purchased from Nitecore. The first was a D4. I got the SC4 because of the features and was hoping to take advantage of the free shipping offered on your website. It was only after I processed the order when I realized the free shipping was not included.

The differences in the various products is not spelled out clearly. I had to call to decide what I wanted. A very complete chart would help greatly. And by the way, the "Location" field for this survey does not work well, letters do not appear and come and go, I could only see what I had typed by selecting the field, then when I move the cursor, they disappear again.

This Nitecore SC4 works great and as advertised. I have a variety of different types of batteries that I use for my devices and it charges the batteries quickly and completely. I especially like the amount of information it provides on the status of each cell on charge. I had a couple of devices that were not lasting as long as they used to, but the SC4 quickly identified which batteries have high internal resistance and were in poor condition. Yes like other reviewers have mentioned when the batteries have completed charge or removed from the charger it makes a slight hissing noise, but it is very minor and I don’t find it annoying. I would recommend this Nitecore SC4 charger to anyone looking for this type of charger, you won’t be disappointed!

This is a great charger and I own a few different Nitecore chargers. It works great for vape batteries but I recently found that it would not charge my Amazon basics aa/aaa batteries (brand new out of package) They charged fine with my basic Duracell charger but were not even recognized by the SC4. My UMS-4 charges them ok. I have not tried any other brand aa yet as I just tossed my old Duracell/energizer rechargeables.
