Good router great Tech service
This is my third Netgear router. No issues with any aspect of this router. Ran into issues with installation. My ISP/Xfinity was the worst. 3 plus hours on the phone and they gave up. I called Netgear support and was up and running in less than a half hour. The support person was great!

Nighthawk AC1900

Connection ok
Modem connected ok. Not a super fan of this product. Connection would skip and was slow. Modem has a high pitch EMF frequency that hurts my ears but my hearing is extremely sensitive.

Didn't last that long
Stopped working after 1.5 years of usage. These should last for years. I am disappointed.

Consistently drops connection
Have owned this router for just over a month. (Bought July 3, 2025) Every day it drops its connection around the same time. Sometimes multiple times a day. Have to reconnect manually each time. Got it because I was in a hurry due to a lightning strike that took out my previous modem and had to hustle to Walmart to get another one because I need my connection for work. Had I known that it had these problems, I would have gotten something else. I expected a much better product for the high price I paid for it.

Bad instructions
The modem itself is good. However you get a 3 star on bad instructions and support people I can't understand. It took me 3 days and YouTube videos to make it work. Maybe I have an old printer, but you should put in your direction's
That 5-G will not work on some printers (HP deskjet 4100e) had to move to Netgear00 to print on wifi.

Excellent Device
Recently purchased the Nighthawk from Netgear when setting up internet in my new home. Installation was quick and the unit has been working great.
I work from home so internet connection is very important. So far my connection has been powerful, smooth and uninterrupted.
I would highly recommend the Netgear Nighthawk.

Netgear nighthawk AC 1900
I recently purchased a NETGEAR router and modem and had a new cable line installed. Unfortunately, the connection didn't work. I was so disappointed that I went out and bought another modem and router from a different brand. That setup worked for a few minutes, then failed again.
At that point, I was beyond frustrated and unplugged everything.
When I called the cable company, they insisted the connection was fine and blamed the equipment since it wasn't their product. So, reluctantly, I reached out to NETGEAR. I explained the situation, and their representative patiently walked me through a series of troubleshooting steps. I'll admit, I didn't want to do any of it-I'm not computer-savvy, and this whole experience had already taken a toll. I felt I shouldn't have to go through all of that just to get internet working.
After about 45 minutes on the phone, the NETGEAR representative provided a case number and assured me that they would stay with me through the process. They kindly asked me to contact my cable company again and let them know I had completed all the necessary steps and registered the device properly.
To my surprise, it turned out the issue was with the cable company-they had failed to activate a switch on their end. Once that was corrected, everything started working perfectly.
I truly appreciate NETGEAR's support. They didn't give up, and they didn't leave me feeling stranded, even when I was ready to give up myself. Kudos to their team for excellent customer service, follow-through, and professionalism. I'm grateful everything was resolved.

Setting up was easy
Setting up the device was super easy from the previous ten years ago when I last set up my modem and router. Scan the QR code and download the app and it basically sets its self up and installs on its own. Only downside is that the device was pricey. Hopefully it works like my old NETGEAR modem for many years.

As Good As It Gets
Great coverage and easy setup. Xfinity compatible. And what sets it apart from most modem/routers is that there is a manual switch to turn off the router and the wi-fi when only the modem is needed.

Great Modem/Router
I needed a router/Modem for my internet which is cable. This one has gave me good service and covers my complete home. My bedroom is on the other side of my home and I have no lag and no issues connecting to the wifi. I would highly recommend. It also saves me from that dreaded monthly rental fee.

Not working need firmware update
I called netgear to help me to update the firmware. The guy said no because it's too old. We bought this in 2019. I don't have extra money to spend. So please help me to update the firmware.

Combo works well
Old router with separate modem router from wifi provider were slow and out of date. I wanted to eliminate having two devices. Setting up new router and network is never simple but it did not take too long to work out the bugs with minimal help from the Netgear website.

Super fast and easy to install!
I love my Nighthawk AC 1900! It is the best modem I have purchased by far. The price was worth it. I love that I can have my personal WiFi and make a guest WiFi for people that are visiting me. I also have fast WiFi too and no more slow downloads. Everything is fast!

Nice unit
Lightening storm took out our old modem. And this was the first one I could get my hands on. Unit was really easy to install and connect with internet supplier. App is easy to use. Great unit
