The NEEWER Q4PRO 400Ws 2.4G TTL Outdoor Strobe Flash is a high-performance, battery-powered monolight engineered for photographers who need studio-level power in a portable system. Delivering a strong 400Ws output with a daylight-balanced color temperature around 6000K, the Q4PRO produces bright, natural illumination ideal for portraits, weddings, fashion, commercial shoots, and outdoor photography. Its compact design and included adjustable handle allow comfortable handheld use or mounting on a light stand, making it equally effective in the studio or on location.
A major upgrade of the Q4PRO is smartphone app wireless control, enabling remote adjustment of flash modes, output, grouping, custom settings, and firmware updates directly from a mobile device. The strobe also features a dual-screen interface that clearly displays settings and color group assignments for efficient multi-light operation.
The Q4PRO incorporates an Expanded 2.4 GHz Wireless Q System, allowing precise remote control of up to five groups (A/B/C/D/E) across 32 channels at distances up to 328 ft (100 m) using compatible QPRO triggers or Q transmitters (sold separately). In receiver mode, the unit is also compatible with the Godox 2.4 GHz X wireless system via the RX COMPAT function, and supports use with the Sekonic L-858D light meter when equipped with the RT-GX module. The Q and X systems cannot be used simultaneously, and the latest firmware is required for cross-system compatibility.
Supporting TTL, Manual, and Multi (stroboscopic) flash modes, the Q4PRO works with Canon E-TTL II, Nikon i-TTL, and Sony TTL systems. Advanced capabilities include Flash Exposure Compensation, High-Speed Sync up to 1/8000 second, first and second curtain sync, S1/S2 optical slave modes, custom function settings, and USB-C firmware upgrades. Multi mode enables rapid stroboscopic bursts of up to 100 flashes at frequencies up to 199 Hz for creative motion effects.
For action photography, the strobe features an advanced Freeze Mode capable of ultra-short flash durations down to 1/28,570 second, allowing sharp capture of fast-moving subjects such as splashes, sports, or dance. Standard flash mode still delivers extremely short durations around 1/15,625 second, while the fast recycle time of 0.01-1.2 seconds ensures the flash keeps pace with continuous shooting.
A bright 30W LED modeling lamp provides continuous illumination for previewing shadows and composition before shooting. The widely used Bowens S-type mount allows compatibility with a broad range of professional light modifiers including softboxes, ref lectors, beauty dishes, snoots, and umbrellas.
Power is supplied by a high-capacity 21.6V 2800mAh rechargeable lithium battery, delivering approximately 325 full-power flashes per charge and recharging in about 3.5 hours. Built-in cooling ensures stable operation during extended sessions. For safety, the flash should never be triggered without the flash tube installed.
Additional professional features include a mask function that allows separate exposure of subject and background for easier post-production, delay flash capability, and robust construction for demanding field use.
