Operating on a stable 2.4 GHz wireless system, the QZ-S delivers dependable triggering of compatible flashes at distances up to 328 ft (100 m). It supports advanced multi-light configurations with 5 groups, 32 channels, and 01-199 IDs, while the built-in channel scanning function helps minimize interference in crowded shooting environments.

A bright OLED touchscreen, combined with a selector dial and physical buttons, provides fast and precise access to settings such as power output, modeling lamp control, zoom, battery status, and group management. Adjustable screen brightness ensures clear visibility in any lighting condition, while a lock function prevents accidental changes during use.

The QZ-S supports professional flash modes including TTL automatic exposure, Manual, and Strobe, along with ±3 EV flash exposure compensation for fine tuning. Manual mode allows precise output adjustments from 1/128 to full power, and S1/S2 optical slave triggering is available in Manual mode for additional flexibility. Photographers c an also adjust flash zoom from 20\u2013200mm, control modeling lamps remotely, and use single-point triggering for precise lighting placement.

Power is supplied by an internal 3.7V 1000mAh rechargeable lithium battery, providing approximately 6-10 hours of operation on a full charge. The battery recharges in about 2.5 hours via USB-C using the included cable. Compact and lightweight, the trigger fits easily into the included storage pouch, making it convenient to carry anywhere.

Flash Compatibility

Wirelessly triggers Neewer Q-system flashes including NW420-C, Z1-C, Z2-C, Z760-C, Z880-C, NW760-C, Z2PRO-C, S102-400W Pro, NW655-C, and Q-C (off-camera). Non-Q flashes can be controlled using an optional QR receiver and 2.5 mm sync cable.
