When I unboxed this Wi-Fi router, I was brimming with hope. Its sleek design promised performance, reliability, and effortless connectivity. Yet, the reality has been anything but.

From the moment I set it up, it has refused to fulfill its one purpose in life: connecting me to the internet. Despite hours of troubleshooting, following every user guide, resetting it more times than I care to admit, and even a few desperate pleas to the tech gods, this router remains steadfastly offline.

It taunts me with blinking LEDs that suggest activity, but they may as well be Morse code for "not today." My devices stare back at me, forlorn and disconnected, as if mourning the promise of a fast and stable network that never came to fruition.

What makes it all the more frustrating is the complete lack of feedback. It's as if the router exists in its own silent world, unwilling to share why it won't connect or what I can do to change its mind. I've tried multiple configurations, different cables, and even a brief stint of staring at it with disappointment, but nothing seems to work.

Great Router!

Works well...house is 2300 square feet and router is on one end of home.  Have a myQ garage door opener and it is at the other end of house and it works well in garage.  Had router for about two weeks and watch movies on the other end of the house opposite of router and movies stream well.

Great Router

For over 2 years, I was paying for 2 internet providers. One for the tv streaming and the other for the capability of creating a guest wifi. My new NETGEAR router works as well as the routers from both internet providers and the benefits  of both in 1 router. Wish I had found it sooner.

Reliable safe connection

Works great.  A little difficulty setting up because I could not download the app on my phone so I called in.  Still could not install using the website because it asked for my IP address and the ISP would not provide it.  So I downloaded the app on my wife's phone and was able to set it up easily.

Very Happy with performance

Those were the words of the fiber optic installer during installation when I told him what my usage would be and if this router would suffice.  I was beyond enthusiastic hearing this and have been nothing but happy with it so far!!  Got a great deal online and couldn't be happier with purchase

"It's a little overkill"

Unboxed and was making a strange noise (faint clicking) that you could hear across a quiet room. Ended up having to return it, but the wifi did work through the whole house for the 5 min I had it plugged in

I really enjoy my nighthawk. I've never had a router that wasn't from an isp and it's a game changer.

Amazing

We needed to update our Wi-Fi router due to its age.  The old Netgear 30 did well for a long time.  
Setting up the new Netgear was simple, but having to enter the password on all the devices was a chore. Had to reboot a couple of times, but all is working well now.  
The range and signal strength is much better than the old system. The Nighthawk app is great and easy to use as well.  
Bought this on Amazon Prime day, so it was about 50% of retail price.

Not simple

Bought this to replace the spectrum router I was renting (was slow and did not cover whole house). Bought the net gear and now I have Wi-Fi in my whole house and it's faster than before PLUS so easy to setup via the mobile app

The best router I buy in my experience

Bought the Nighthawk AX5 AX4200 from my local Walmart last year and now it won't work and connect to the internet like it's supposed too. Contacted Netgear and tried ti explain to one of the customer service team but he just kept interrupting every time I try to explain what's happening. So disappointing to know that you router just stops working after just 1 year. They didn't even try to offer any kind of help other then a phone call..
