Works Good
Set up was a bit rocky but all in all it took about 30 minutes. It has helped tremendously with stretching the wifi to the garage !

Best Gaming Router for your home.
Since I've connected my home recently with the Pro gaming XR1000 model from Betgear Nighthawk line I have been obsessed they have greatly improved my work and gaming experience from home. I have a long home and its a struggle finding good internet routers.

Not a great start
Purchased a refurbished router off woot! and haven't been able to get it set up. Everything keeps saying use the nighthawk app, but scanning the cod on the machine from the app says, this device is not supported. So a manual set up it is, but trying to update the firmware results in an error. Great fun! Now to try again but there is no wi-fi cause the box doesn't work, oh and now I am almost out of data on my phone... Guess this has to be shelved till next cycle.

Duma os features don't work
For Battlefield 2042, which is the primary game I play, duma os is useless. The ping optimizer never improved my ping, the geofilter never worked when I was trying to play only in European servers, and the ping heatmap only shows Battlefield 6 (not 2042) servers even though 6 isn't even out yet. I have played 4,000 hours in Battlefield 2042 and this router did not enhance my experience at all.

Nighthawk XR1000 is Worth it
I live in the country and have to use a MiMo Cell boost to I get good service. I've been able to game but not without high ping and lag. At times lag so bad I couldn't play. Buying this router has changed everything. I'm able to prioritize traffic and set it up in a way that I get a "A" onn speed test
"C" on ping and "A" on high traffic ping. I was getting straight F before with a C on speeds. I believe with s few more settings changed I will get the ping to a "A". My services are amazing thanks to this router. Absolutely worth it!!

Very good gaming router!

Router Start-up
A security feature kept blocking completion of the start-up and even had a negative impact on interaction with cellphone WiFi. The router is working well now. I am old and not as facile with computer infrastructure as younger folk. This router was more difficult than my previous NETGEAR router in start-up.

Awesome, Absolutely Awesome
I bought a Netgear XR 1000 and it has been unbelievable set up was super easy using the app and it has changed how we use everything we were having such slowness issues no protection, but Netgear armor gives us everything we need to protect ourselves and has already helped us deter a malware attack. Absolutely love it and will not be using any other router brand!

Works Full Speed and Bandwidth!
It's plug and play Type in Username and password; setup and It was good to go. I set it up downstream to my main router by way of etherent cable instead of through wifi as I didn't want my ping to increase and I wanted a separate network for the downstairs and it works like it should no complaints so far.

worst experience I have ever had
When I got it, I noticed only one antenna appeared to be working. But when I troubleshoot it, it appeared that everything was working so figured it was just a light issue but in less than 45 days I lost the 2.4 band and I can't get the guest accounts turned on. Last but not least when I called for support I was on hold for over half an hour both times. Than I was told they would call me back and no response since. Trying to decide what to do I have heard this is a really good router but right now not impressed

Excellent gaming router
The XR1000 is a powerful wifi router with ax capabilities. It works in our 3 story home from a central location with gigabit speeds on the wifi, and wired. The cybersecurity settings are advanced but easy to configure, and the style of the box is also pretty neat. Overall it works for our 15 devices in gaming, videos, upload and download as well as vr applications for the whole house

Slow software
Great router and software is unuseable. Making any software changes tales 20 minutes as every clock or page change is very slow.
