Best 24mm Nikon has made
This is really a sharp lens, its sharp from edge to edge. I use this lens on my Z6 and I love the images I produce with this lens. I shoot weddings and lighting is always an issue. I’m also a natural light shooter. So, whenever I can I don’t use flashes and I like to shoot with fast glass and wide open. This lens allows me to shoot the way I like. Excellent Wide Angle Optics
I just tested my new Nikkor Z 24mm f/1.8 S lens in San Diego, California's Balboa Park. The optics of this lens are excellent. The lens exhibits superior contrast, color, and unnoticeable horizontal and vertical distortion. At the extreme apertures, f/1.8 and f/16, performance is equally consistent. The six photos below demonstrate the lens's performance at various apertures.

The NIKKOR Z 24mm f/1.8 S is the new versatile wide-angle lens from Nikon that can be used in shooting a myriad of subjects such as landscapes and architectural marvels. This prime lens is designed for FX-format Z-mount mirrorless cameras and features a series of aspherical and extra-low dispersion elements for producing sharp imagery with a high degree of clarity. It has both Nano Crystal and Super Integrated Coatings for suppressing flare and ghosting. The NIKKOR Z S Lens has an f/1.8 maximum aperture for better shooting under low light conditions and has a multi-focus system. This system synchronizes two separate AF drive units to deliver fast and accurate focusing. It uses stepping motors for smooth and quiet autofocusing, making it suitable for shooting stills and videos, and has a full-time manual focus override. The lens has a programmable control ring for quick and easy setting adjustments that is helpful when shooting on the go.
