Refurbished is great

An incredible lens, at a great price. Have never had an issue with any Nikon Refurbished products and have bought several.

Very Nice Native Lens That's Sharp w/Great Focusing Accuracy

This is a great lens. The Z lenses in general are light, seem ruggedly built and very user-friendly. I'm not a sharpologist, but to my eyes, I'm pleased with the results for color, clarity, focus accuracy and less CA that I saw with some of my F mount lenses. I love the 35mm perspective and this lens has not disappointed. I'm a fan of the Z lens lineup, and enjoy being able to buy into a lens system that isn't so expensive I am more tempted to look 3rd party (I know there's not a ton of 3rd party for the Z yet, but still). Do I miss the F/1.4 of my Sigma Art 35mm I used on my D-800 and with my Z6 & 7? To be honest, not really. I actually like the focus ring on the Z lenses and the composite outer shell of the lens seems well made. Good lens, good price...Get it.

Next to new for a great discount

Fantastic for a refurbished lens. The autofocus motor is noticeable audible when it is quite, not sure if a new lens would be as dead silent as the 24-70 f2.8 is. Perhaps it was dropped and then refurbished. Still quieter than any f-mount lens and focuses faster. Still a great savings and sharp lens.

Great value! Works like new!

This is the first Nikon refurbished lens that I have purchased. This lens looks, feels and operates like a brand new lens. The only way you can tell it is not brand new is it will come in a generic box which is labeled "refurbished". If you are looking for a less expensive way to add to your lens collection, this is it!

Lightweight, sharp as a tack

I am a mere enthusiast, but for travel I am in love with my Nikon Z6, and now this lens. For low light conditions, or when a strong bokeh is helpful, this lens delivers. Well-made, very light, and balances great on the Z6 camera body. I will be pairing this with the new Z 24-200mm zoom, and have all my based covered with just two lenses.

A wider world of possibilities.
35mm prime. A desert-island lens for many. Wide enough to nail the view. Shallow enough to draw out subjects. Fast enough to make the impossible possible. And so sharp...just utter unwavering sharpness. In reimagining this classic lens for the new Z system, we may very well have perfected it.

Nikon Z 35mm f/1.8 S RB Features

  • Breakthrough Z system performance - Empowered by the Z system's larger mount, shorter flange distance, raw imaging power and video capabilities, the NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.8 S will redefine your perceptions of what an f/1.8 lens can do.
  • Wide-open sharpness - Epic definition and resolution from the center of the frame to the edges, even at its f/1.8 maximum aperture. No need to stop this lens down.
  • Fast, accurate focus - The larger Z Mount delivers more light to a Z camera's powerful PDAF system for extremely high focusing accuracy and speed.
  • The undistorted truth - An improved optical formula for virtually zero flare, ghosting, coma or chromatic, spherical and axial aberration, even at the far edges of the frame.
  • Versatile 35mm angle of view - Few lenses are as versatile as a fast 35mm prime. Ideal for landscapes, street photography, weddings, environmental portraits and more. A favorite among filmmakers for its human-eye perspective. Brilliant in low-light. Lightweight and portable.
  • Dreamy backgrounds - A 9-blade rounded diaphragm and f/1.8 aperture combine with the larger mount and shorter flange distance to produce a stunning round bokeh.
  • Beautiful establishing shots - Human eye-perspective puts viewers at the heart of the shot, whether it's an interview, tutorial video or product demo. Near-silent autofocus is powered by a new stepping motor.
  • Shines in low light - Draws peak performance from a Z camera's outstanding low light capabilities. Captures point-of-light sources like streetlights with uncanny sharpness and minimal spherical aberration.
  • Next-generation Z design and optics - Z lenses, perfectly matched to Z camera bodies, are designed with a sense of consistency that combines reliability and beauty with next-dimension optical performance for freedom in image creation.
  • Durable & lightweight - Extensively sealed against dust and moisture, especially around all moving parts of the barrel. Compact, lightweight and ideally balanced on a Z camera.
  • New Customizable Control Ring - Can be used for manual focusing (default), aperture control (great for iris transitions during video recording) or exposure compensation.
  • New Dual Detect 5 Axis VR - Uses the Z cameras' superior in-camera image stabilization system for up to 5 stops of pitch, roll, yaw, X and Y shake correction. Additional electronic VR (e-VR) during video capture.
  • Stepping Motor - NIKKOR Z lenses use a stepping motor for fast, accurate, smooth, quiet autofocus with reduced wobbling. This quiet drive system makes the lenses ideal for use when shooting video.
  • ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) Glass - An optical glass developed by Nikon that is used with normal optical glass in telephoto lenses to obtain optimum correction of chromatic aberrations.
  • Aspherical Lens - A lens with a curved, non-spherical surface. Used to reduce aberrations and enable a more compact lens size. Aspherical lenses minimize coma and other types of lens aberrations, even when used at the widest aperture.
  • Nano Crystal Coat - An anti-reflective coating developed by Nikon that virtually eliminates internal lens element reflections across a wide range of wavelengths. Nano Crystal Coat solves ghost effects caused by red light and effectively reduces ghost and flare caused by light entering the lens diagonally
  • Electromagnetic Diaphragm Mechanism - An electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism in the lens barrel provides highly accurate electronic diaphragm or aperture blade control when using auto exposure during continuous shooting. With conventional D/G type lenses, the diaphragm blades are operated by mechanical linkage levers
  • IF Lens - A NIKKOR lens in which only the internal lens group shifts during focusing. Thus, IF NIKKORS do not change in size during AF operation, allowing for compact, lightweight lenses capable of closer focusing distances. These lenses will be designated with the abbreviation IF on the lens barrel.
  • Super Integrated Coating - Nikon Super Integrated Coating is Nikon's term for its multilayer coating of the optical elements in NIKKOR lenses.
