Nikon continues to develop its mirrorless Z system with the new NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.8 S Lens. This fast prime portrait lens (designed for FX-format Z-mount mirrorless cameras) features an f/1.8 maximum aperture, which offers superior control over depth of field while also making it possible to work under difficult lighting conditions. It has Eye-Detection autofocus, ultra-quiet focus motors, a control ring, and minimized focus breathing. These features make it a suitable lens for portraits, headshots, and videos. The NIKKOR S Lens also has two extra-low dispersion elements for reducing color fringing and chromatic aberrations, enabling better clarity and color rendering in your pictures.
