I always buy extended warranties for my equipment. New Leaf is reliable. However, I haven't had to use it so far as my printer is very new.

...so I haven't had to use the service plan yet. Which is a good thing! I've had two similar Epson printers over the past 20 years and never had to use any service plan, although I always got them. So far, I love the printer (I also loved my old ones, but I wore them out) and hope never to have to use the service plan. But I am glad I have it.

I am happy with my purchase. The colors are bright. Very fast printing for the office. The only complaint I have is the printer seems to not know which tray I want it to use. For example when I open tray 2 for envelope printing, the printer insists on taking paper from tray 1 and its very frustrating.

Electronics costing above $200 can be relatively expensive to repair/replace, often more than the original cost. The plan helps takes the bite out of the possible failure.
