I've had the otter box defender series since I bought my phone over 2 years ago, recently decided I wanted a new color, my phone is protected I've never had a problem only issue I have is it's hard to find a larger selection of otter box products for my type phone, but still over all it provides protection I need.

I've tried the other's and they don't hold up to a construction work environment. Otterbox hasn't been perfect but is definitely better than the competition.

I bought one about 2 years ago & just got another one because I loved it so much (& I destroyed the 1st one) these really keep your phone safe. Make sure to purchase a screen protector as well!

Excellent quality and very strudy, my 3rd phone with an OB case. Only flaw I would say is the difdiculty in accessing the charging port, the 'flap' can be quite difficult to open.

I love Otterbox products, I had the orginal for 3 years and it saved my phone so many times when dropped....the only reason I replaced it was because the plastic box cracked the last time i dropped it...

I've had this case for about a month, and as someone who is constantly dropping my phone from chest level. I find it very sturdy and able to withstand a decent drop without and damage or marks on the case.

I bought the Note 8 Defender series last Nov. 15 from Otterbox asia. Received it in good condition. After trying, it looks fit and ok but when I tried to remove the case from the phone for me to insert the sim, the hard plastic snapped and broke. First time that this happened.

I bought it a couple of weeks ago. Comfortable in my hands, really thinned down the bulk on the defender line, but still feels like it can withstand a lot. Great product.

Once again, Otterbox gives me the protection I need for a very... very, very expensive phone. I'm a rough and tumble in my everyday life, so need all the protection I can get to wrap around my phone. Worth every penny.

I am extremely displeased that the defender does not offer the screen protector anymore. I've been a faithful otterbox customer for all of my phones, and I am not exceptionally enthused about this one. It does not fit as tight in the holster as my others have. I am pleased with the availability of different colors.

Wish there was a little more protection on the corners and that the back of the box was soft rubber instead of the hard plastic. Also, you need more color options!

When I bought my new phone from T-mobile they asked if I wanted insurance I said "no, I did that on the last few phones and it was a waste of money." The sales rep said "if you don't want insurance then I can add an Otterbox case to your purchase?" I laughed and thought this sales person is a real try hard. I figured I would find my own case and it would better. After a researching ALL of the phone case companies that have "military grade drop test approval" just to find that they just a rubber bumper that slips on and off. Long story short I finally made my way back to Otterbox. I looked at the defender. Nothing I found has a 2 piece clam shell cradle and a rubber bumper! Looking at it it just looked over engineered. I had to get it. When I got it installed on my phone it felt good in the hand. I have big hands and it didn't feel like I was going to drop my phone. Strangely I got the feeling if I did it would be okay. So maybe the T-mobile rep wasn't a try hard and just knew what is quality after all.

When I know I'm going to purchase a new phone I always buy the otterbox first.Like always money well spent.Note 8 alpha glass works great also don't know why so many complain about it.

I purchased this case for my Note 8 along with a screen protector. I went with he defender because I wanted to completely protect my phone and paid over $100 for both. The case leaves portions of the phone exposed like the camera and stylus. The screen protector I also purchased from Otter box does not protect my entire screen and makes my phone fairly unresponsive to screen touches even with the sensitivity turned all the way up. I have had this case and screen cover for a week. I am going to request a refund for both.
