Review Summary
The Polaroid 1x - 2.5x Right Angle Viewfinder is a convenient tool to expand your shooting style. Instead of lifting the camera to your eye each time you prepare to shoot (and letting the world know you are about to), use the Right Angle Viewfinder attached to your SLR's viewfinder and shoot in a less conspicuous way.
Bring your eye to the Right Angle Viewfinder at chest level and you'll have a lower, more interesting angle from which to compose. Or use the 2.5x magnification option and shoot from waist level. With a quick glance downward, not only will you shoot on the "down-low", but you'll get more keepers by eliminating the time and disruption it takes to bring the camera to your eye and re-frame the shot.
Of course, this viewfinder is also designed to work when your camera is on a tripod. This allows a much more comfortable approach to composing your image. As opposed to getting down on your knees or craning your neck to look through the viewfinder, the Right Angle Viewfinder allows a less contorted position, just bend and look down. The 2.5x magnification also gives you the option to better check focus before you shoot.
The included rubber eyecup eliminates stray light and is comfortable for your eye and an adjustable diopter will accommodate for any individual eyesight, even if you wear glasses. The eyepiece of the viewfinder turns to focus the diopter and even when rotating the viewfinder up to 360deg., the subject of your photo will remain in the correct position.
There are 9 optical elements in 5 groups inside the viewfinder and the glass is high definition and multi-coated to eliminate flaring and offer even light transmission. The Polaroid 1x-2.5x Right Angle Viewfinder is compatible with virtually all digital and film SLR's and comes with 5 distinct eyepiece adapters to work with Canon EOS, Nikon, Minolta, Sony Alpha, Leica, Pentax, Olympus and Fuji cameras.
