Pre-ordered mine during the kickstarter campaign and have been happy using it as my daily for both work and travels. Very durable materials as expected of PD. I do wish it came with an outer side pocket instead of a concealed one because it's barely useable when the main compartment is packed aside for storing small items like airpods or a wallet.

Nice looking cooperate compatible travel bags. The stone palette is beautiful, tthe concealed side storage for water bottles and umbrella helps to streamline the silhouette of the bag, even though it eat up a bit if the internal room of the bag. The expandable design is a plus as well, since it adds some much-needed space if you are bringing some thick items.

Looks great, very comfortable to carry. Fits way more than it seems, I regularly carry 2 14" MacBook Pros along with a bunch of other stuff and it feels lighter than any other backpack I've loaded up.

Bought this for my Dad to travel. He travels frequently throughout the year for work. Safe to say it is durable and design is sleek. He likes how it's a no fuss product. Will purchase future designs as well.

The 20L backpack is well designed in most parts. There are many nice features geared toward travelers. I particularly like the magnetic strap attachment, wide-opening compartment, anti-theft zipper pull, and hidden water bottle pocket. There are a few things that could've been better thought out though. The expansion adds very little. There are too many attachment loops than needed, a blemish to the otherwise clean look. The biggest annoyance is the lack of any excess traps management. A backpack at this price point should've had either an integrated storage for excess back straps or some sort of strap keepers to keep them from dangling in the back and getting dirty when put down.

I love the look and style of my new travel backpack. I have switched over from my previous Peak Design Everyday backpack v1. The Everyday served me really well over the years. What I like so much about this new travel backpack is that it is more contained - the straps are easier to use, the bag is secure with zippers for all compartments. I have to say I also like the modern styling better. It is a great addition to my everyday carry as well as my travel.

I bought this off Kickstarter, and it's a really well-made, designed backpack to act as your personal item for air travel. I like that there are no dangly cords or cables that can get caught on a conveyor belt or scanner. To be expected of a bag of this calibre, there is also a luggage strap so it can be securely stacked on top of a carry-on roller. The internal water bottle carrier maintains the backpack's slick profile whilst enabling quick access to hydration. Bear in mind that obviously the bottle will take up space inside the bag, so I would say this is designed for a flight where you may just want a 650mL or 500mL bottle, nothing massive. The nice, wide, padded backpack straps comfortably distribute the weight. A nice touch is with the magnetic catches that keep the straps flush when not in use. Other great features: the compartmentalized quick access pocket and the outer zip that provides expandability so you have space to store your last minute duty-free purchase! Overall, the Travel Backpack 20L is fab and will be my go-to travel companion backpack.

This backpack had proved very useful for its core design target: A right-sized day pack. Holds a small PC, a few note books, and has room for a water bottle. Just right for the conference I attended last week. At 20 liters, the size and bulk are just about right -it is easy to handle, and does not tend to swing around and whack innocent bystanders (which to 30L and especially the 45L travel backpacks tend to do). It did disappoint me on one critical aspect: It is not flexible for travel. Unlike the other products in the Travel Backpack line, the straps cannot be tucked away, hidden, or strapped up. The result is this back cannot - in a travel pinch - be checked as airline luggage. At least not without sad results. I had hoped it would replace a non-PD luggage back that I carry on top of my PD roller bag - a bag that can be shoulder carried with strap(s), or checked when needed, with the straps tucked away. Nive backpack, but not a real member of the Travel Backpack familu.

The Peak Design Travel Backpack 20L is an excellent companion for travellers who check their main luggage but need a high-performing carry-on that transitions seamlessly into a daily daypack. At 20 litres, it fits comfortably under most airline seats and slides easily onto a rolling suitcase handle, yet its structured, low-profile design ensures it never looks too bulky when you are out exploring. It does lose a star, however, for the design of the interior water bottle pocket, which really should be like the versatile 2-in-1 water bottle pockets. This is my second owned PD backpack. I've used it recently on a trip that involved ariline travel. I honestly can't find any flaw with the bag! I purchased it because of the amount of volume it holds and it's durability. I own a similar PD bag for about 4 years that I use to haul photography gear. That bag has heldup wonderfully and I expect this travel bag to do the same. The many pockets and pouches allow me to store smaller items but still have quick access to them. I LOVE that the outter portion unzips to reveal a smaller backpack with should straps. This is great for carry items outside of the travel day when I don't need the full bag. I have been purchasing PD products for many years. Their quality, durability and enginuity are unmatched!

It is the perfect size for a one- or two-night trip. While the design is sophisticated and attractive, I think it would have been even better if it had side pockets like the "Everyday Backpack." For this trip, I used the zippered side pocket-originally intended for a water bottle-to store a folding umbrella. Also, considering the price point, I would have appreciated it if a rain cover had been included as standard.

This is a great backpack. I just got back from a two week trip to Japan. I used it and the crossbody sling almost every day. The only issue I had was with the material used to cover the padding that touches the back. It started to pill up, which I thought was a bit premature (I had purchased the backpack specifically for the trip and had not used it prior to the trip). That is really the only flaw. Other than that it is super comfortable, carries everything safely and looks great!

I've been traveling with this bag for several months now, and have opinions. I'm a long time Peak Design backer, from the early days. Enjoy all their stuff, from "really like" to "fully love". This backpack was bought specifically to pair with the new roller bag, as my OG backpack didn't pair well with that - you had to put it on the side to mate it, and you could drop stuff out at that angle. Probably my only actual complaint for this backpack is that the horizontal strap that I use to slide over to attach to the suitcase is too tight. This only matters when I have my backpack and I pull the suitcase down in the airplane, and then always struggle to loop it on. If it was 1/4" longer, it would probably be perfect, no notes.

Overall, I love this bag. The materials and build quality feel truly premium, and I absolutely love the new Stone color-it looks fantastic in person. It's a great size for everyday use, and the expansion feature is a nice addition, although if you're using camera cubes, you'll need to keep the expansion unzipped. A few things could be improved. The bottle holder wasn't very useful as a bottle holder-I found it works better as a small storage pocket. I also wish there were grab handles on both sides instead of just one. The luggage pass-through is only vertical, and when paired with the Peak Design Roller, the backpack sits very close to the roller handle, making it a bit awkward to grab. A horizontal luggage pass-through would have been a welcome addition, though I understand it was likely omitted to make room for the top quick-access compartment. Despite those minor complaints, the quality, design, and overall functionality make this an excellent bag, and I'd definitely recommend it.

For instance, if you stow the drink holder inside while using a camera insert, the bag's exterior becomes misshapen. We also discovered that, depending on the specific insert used, it may not be possible to fit a drink inside. In that regard, I believe the design would be more functional if the holder were located on the outside, as it was in the previous model.

Backed this project on Kickstarter, like I have with a few other Peak Design products and have been daily driving it for over a month now. This is my end game backpack. I have yet to find a flaw in the construction or design and I absolutely love it. PD does a fantastic job with the build quality and layout of pockets and features. You will never regret getting this backpack.

I bought this bag from the Peak Design kickstarter. Overall, the bag is perfect for traveling and has been a great addition. Generally the bag fits a good amount of items for the size, it looks good on your back, and is very comfortable. My main gripe with the 20L everyday backpack was that it could not fit a small camera cube comfortably without taking up almost all of the usable space (which was only an issue when traveling). The 20L Travel Backpack solves this issue almost perfectly while still retaining a smaller form factor. The small camera cube fits nicely and feels especially solid when the bag is expanded. At the 20L size, it works great as a personal item. I am able to carry a 14 inch laptop, a tablet, clothing for a weekend, and a small camera cube comfortably. At 20L it is very versatile and works very well as both a travel back and as a day pack. My one issue is that the luggage pass-through can feel a bit tight and awkward. Coming from the 20L everyday backpack has spoiled me and made it hard to go back to a more minimalist pass-through. Overall, this is a great versatile bag that I expect to get tons of mileage.
