I use this with a canon r7 and a 100-500 lens. It helps distribute the weight of the setup allowing me to carry it for hours without discomfort. I've only had this for a few months but have used it often. Similar to other peak design gear that I own this appears to be well made and built to last.

I am so glad I never have to go cross-body or off the shoulder with the stock canon straps again. Everything is so well thought out on the slide, from the easy-adjust front and back sliders to the simple but secure connectors, it just works incredibly well and makes for a comfortable but fast carry option.

Even at age 70, I'm new to photography. As I'm still learning the basics, the last thing I needed was a mediocre strap. The Slide is decidedly excellent. It's well-considered, well-engineered, and well-made. Brilliant, really. It gives me a tingle. It may turn out to be the only aspect of photography I master.

I purchased a "slide" recently. It had a problem. The "notches' on the strap were on the outside, not the inside against my shoulder. Obviously, they were of no value. I had a very lengthy chat. So, I was sent another one which has the same problem. That's what you get for not having quality control and using AI."

Broke after 3 years, caught camera just in time before it snapped. There was also corrossion on the metal parts. Bought in HK. but their Asia warranty email doesn't respond to email for over a month. Overall would say rather dissapointed in Peak Design

This product really is slide-y but if you turn it over to use the grippy side, the clips are an irritant. Further, if you use this with a clutch, it's a right pain in the backside. I took it off, and have put it onto my 600 lens. If it doesn't work right during this forthcoming holiday, it'll go in the drawer for my children to find when I'm dead.

I've been using the Slide for over a year now and love it. The ease of adjustment is excellent. I normally carry across body with my Olympus E-620 and a telephoto attached, usually a 70-300 if I'm looking at wildlife. The ease moving it from carrying to shooting is excellent. I have also used it around the neck when I was a passenger on a scenic train ride. Adjusting from cross body to around the neck took less than 30 seconds and the same going back.

I bought this strap as a gift. He really liked it, especially the orange colour tone. Nice product. It's a bit pricey though.

My expensive camera came with a strap that was too narrow for the weight of it's great lens. the PD Slide was a perfect alternative, and was easier to put on and off.

Much better than the branded strap that came with my expensive camera?

Best camera strap I've ever used. I have it on binoculars as well as multiple cameras. Even my Sony A1ii with 400-800mm feels comfortable and secure with this strap attached to the lens. The anchors make it so easy to attach the strap as needed.

This review is for the slide xl?..which you sell but isn't an option for review??? Anyway, why is the slide packaged in a nice box with a carrying pouch but the slide xl comes in a plastic bag and looks like I bought it from Temu? Is Peak Design discriminating against taller folks that need a longer strap?

I owned the original Slide and it kept sliding (too much!) when I used it, it would never stay in place where I set it every time I went out to shoot. I contacted PD Support and got this as a replacement through the warranty program. This new version is awesome! It stays in place and it feels a little more comfortable around my neck than the original. I have used it a lot and it stays in place; I am so happy! :)

Absolutely Brilliant! Carrying almost 2KG of kit on a walk is quite wearing on the shoulder as a 5ft 2 female and this strap makes it a breeze with easy click on/off buttons for attaching straps. It also glides easily in the across body position for catching those unexpected shots and the grippy side does exactly what it says . Brilliant product.

I have three of these for all of my cameras, and I love them. I've never had bad PD product, and these are no different. Comfortable around the neck, and they easily detach with their "clips", which is a real convenience. They may be a little more price-wise, but well worth it. The bonus is that you're supporting Peak Design, a terrific company that makes wonderful, durable products that are backed with a lifetime warranty. Get it!

I love all the camera straps from peak. And this one, i have two more, recently was replaced for free by peak after it showed damages after 3 years in the jungle of costa Rica. This is what I call customer service! Thank you for really good work!

This is a major upgrade from my original Nikon camera strap. I love the versatility of easily changing attachment points and easy adjustment.

If you use pro bodies, large lenses, or any combination of the two, this strap is absolutely worth it. The width distributes the weight well, and it stays comfortable even with a heavy setup. Adjustments are quick and intuitive, and the overall build inspires confidence - it feels like it will outlast the camera itself. My only complaint is the grip side. As it is, the strap tends to twist during use, and I'd prefer a grippier surface, especially when carrying a lot of weight. Aside from that, there are very few situations where I wouldn't choose this strap.

I wanted an upgrade to my stock camera strap and couldn't be happier with this choice. The materials are top notch. I particularly like the ease of operating the slide to adjust the length and the quick disconnect feature. You won't regret this purchase!

Product is listed with aluminium and glass fibre hardware which is true in the legal sense of the phrase, it has aluminium screws but the buckles and levers are plastic. The levers are handles and aren't for clamping the buckle, just for moving it. Yes, its a nice looking strap and it works as one but so does every other strap. I genuinely feel like a rug has been pulled from beneath me. If the product was made in Europe or North America then I would be less disappointed. 1 out of 5 stars selected. Product is Poor - Hmm its better than poor 2 out of 5 stars selected. Product is Fair - Do not agree Can literally get 20m polypropylene webbing for £16, two CNC machined spring loaded quick release buckles at £20 each then end hardware copy cats for £20 or less, made a 3d printed stencil to apply silicone to the belt for grip and have what I expected for a similar price (labour would have been the difference in wholesale pricing). The padding in the PD strap is basically none existent anyway. I was toying with that idea and should have done it and felt good about it.

Very comfortable as I usually use a long telephoto lens. The adjustments are great and I love how it attaches to my camera. It's the most comfortable and accommodating strap I've ever had. I've had this strap for several years now and I've never regretted getting it.

I bought this to carry a Nikon Z8 with 100-400 mm lens. It's great! Sturdy, and it performs just like shown on PD YouTube video. Happy i sent the money on a quality product.

After having the Slide Lite since 2020, I just got the Slide for more comfort while holding the 70-200 GM2. As always, PD is the best we can get for our gear ! I always recommend.

I have been using this strap for years. Honestly I love it. I even sometimes use it a strap for a shoulder bag that I bought from Supreme, that I also double as a camera bag. Its super versatile. My only problem with this strap or those little rubber lines they glued on. Over time they begin to peel off and honestly they make the strap loose its sleek beauty. Changing swapping out those rubber lines for something that would last forever would honestly be the only change this strap needs. Other than that, its definitely one of the most comfortable straps out there. Its perfect for the weight of the Fuji XT5.

Does everything you need, and morning you don't. No crazy buckles, slides, clips, straps, or snaps. Just a solid strap that's easy to get on and off the camera in a couple configurations, and passing that's comfortable but not bulky.

I already had one slide for my Canon DLSR camera. I had purchased the medium packing cube and found I will be able to use it as a camera bag. I really like the ability to change the length on the slide. I feel the part of the slide that has the slip proof should be on the reverse side. To use it, you have to turn the releases with the buckle toward your body. Find it annoying, so usually work without using the slip proof feature.
