Not usable with a long lens. Terrible

This is rated for 10 pounds of weight; I tried using with my Z8 and 400mm TC lens at 9.4 lbs. (a little under), also with my Z8 and 600mm TC lens at 10.4 lbs. (a little over). In either case this ABSOLUTELY DID NOT work smoothly for video, and the lens creep is awful. Controls to tighten are poor, at best; I was unable to tighten enough so there would not be lens creep, and trying to set the tension in the horizontal and vertical so there was smooth motion was not possible. I bought this tripod and tilt-mod head because it was lightweight and I could use video. Lightweight it is, usable for video with a long lens? A total waste of money. HUGELY disappointed.

Arca clamp designed inconveniently

Arca clamp oriented front-back (Z axis) rather than the X axis that most mirrorless/hybrid camera cages and L-brackets come with. I genuinely don't understand this. This PD tripod system is marketed to solo & travel shooters, not the behemoth Sachtler/Manfrotto crowd with their massive Arri/FX9 etc. Hybrid shooters have horizontal plates. We shoot on tight budget, tight space and low weight. This head should have had a horizontal clamp which is compatible with our cages/plates and the PD square plate. If bigger camera people want Z-axis clamp they could just add an adapter clamp on top since their bigger rigs make the extra clamp a non-factor.

Incredible says it all.

Got this baby on Kickstarter with the Pro-Tripod. It is simply amazing. Design if fantastic. Easy to mount and works like a dream. If you do video or just straight photos, it is a must have.
