Clare L : If I wanted to use this w/ my D7000 for outdoor portrait shoots would I need to buy anything else? would it work w/ the d7000?DAVID Y : I am a Canon shooter, but I did not need any additional equipment to use this setup with my camera. It does not include a telescoping stick of any kind, so if you are wanting to go high with the light and shoot downward, you may want to purchase a monopod if you don't already have one. One other note: the trigger that goes on the camera does not have a hot shoe. Therefore, you cannot use an on-camera flash simultaneously with the off-camera flash. For this reason, I kept the softbox and connectors and sold just the trigger and receiver on Ebay.
Shopper : Will this kit work with my Nikon D5000?KATHRYN H : It is a free standing light with a flash attached that uses batteries, use it on manual or slave to flash with your camera. It is very portalable to use at events that need more light without setting up your whole studio lighting. I have used it at weddings in the church and at the reception to the school gym for sports pictures. It is compatible with all cameras, I have a canon 40d and 5d mark ii.
Marc Y : Will this kit work with my Canon T3 camera ?Robert C : I bought this kit because I want to remove the shadows while taking candids without carrying around a soft box w/light stand. This was the perfect solution. The soft box gave me the dramamic effect I wanted. It is very important to pretest before the shoot to make sure all your mechanics are in place. I loved using it, I even switched flashes from what comes in the kit to the Canon EX 550. You will find this a very good investment and it is easy to use. If you need to use a light stand it is not a major production. Good shooting. I hope this was helpful. It is well worth the money. Robert C
