Used the PlatyPod Ultra with two LitraTorches (with Litra barn doors and diffusers) on PlatyPod goosenecks and a Sony A7xx for an interview for a client. Worked great!

I only gave this 1 stars for 3 reasons. First, there is no carrying case in which you can leave the screws attached. It does take a long time to attach and adjust the screws and there is no storage for the screws on this camera support. Second, unless you are using it for a smart phone or small point and shoot it is unstable. Third, if you forget to tighten the set nuts on the screws tightly, it is very unstable. For these reasons I leave it at home.

Great product. Have taken it to museums and other places where tripods are not allowed. Great to have on trips to get the shot. Also, makes taking from the ground perspective much easier.

This item is well made an will come in handy for spots where a full size tripod will not work. The size is just right to hold my canon 80D safety and is small enough to be put in my pocket. I do wish it came with the 36 in strap rather that the 20 inch one but that is available in the optional accessory kit.

Great little tool. So small you can fit it in your pocket! The base isn’t wide enough to provide enough stabilization for a dslr, but something smaller, it works great! Never miss a shot again because you couldn't use a tripod. Also, a great light stand for a flash, use the belt that comes with it to put a flash in any number of angles for more creative lighting!

I have had a Platy Pod Max for quite some time. I am really happy with this Ultra. Fits in the camera bag, easier to pack than a full sized tri pod when hiking. Also can give you a low perspective while shooting or doing time lapse work. The Ultra can be taken many places that a tri pod is not allowed.

I hardly get to use the Platypod, girlfriend always gets her hands on it first. Awesome tool where tripods are not allowed. Holds my Canon MarkIV with 70-200 f2.8 just fine. Wish I would have purchased sooner.

Purchased this for travel and shooting in museums and galleries. will provide tripod-like stability at ground level or on railings. Only improvement would be to provide a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter, which would make its use universal. Highly recommended tool for travel and outings.

Fits great in a 4"w x 6"h x 2"d pouch on my camera bag. Along with the strap, feet and a ballhead, Easy to setup, if you don't need the feet. Feet are easy to misplace, i lost one so far in a week of use. Replacement feet should be sold in pairs, not sets of 4. Strap is great, but could be 6-12" longer, All in all a great size, and versatile. I would recommend this over a Gorillapod.
