The Postium OBM-H Series are designed for daylight monitoring in HD/SD broadcast and motion picture production monitoring applications. The OBM-H120 utilizes a 12.1" 1280x800 resolution LCD with a maximum luminance output of 2000 cd/sq.m
The OBM-H Series accepts up to 1080 60P signals scaled to native resolution and is equipped with standard 3G/HD-SDI input interfaces (x2) as well as an HDMI 1.3a input and analog component/composite I/O.
Closed Captioning decode and display for CEA-708(HD-SDI closed captioning standard) and CEA-608(SD-SDI closed captioning standard) is supported via SDI input.
Display Functions
High Dynamic Range (HDR) Mode applies a High Dynamic Range display gamma curve to HDR content. The OBM-H Series supports PQ EOTF (SMPTE ST 2084), Hybrid Log Gamma and S-Log3. Postium's HDR function allows users to view both highlights and shadow details within scenes simultaneously, thus resulting in more natural and realistic reproduction.
HDR Display modes provides both full-frame HDR and SDR viewing as well as simultaneous side-by-side split screen comparison.
3D Look-up Table import is supported for accurate and consistent color matching between individual displays as well as using customized 'looks' that have been created by 3rd party color-grading applications. 32 cube, 33 cube, 64 cube, 65 cube files are supported.
In addition, the OBM-H series has Built-in Camera Log to Linear conversion LUTs from various camera manufacturers including Log-C, C-Log / S-Log2, S-Log3 / J-Log1 and more.
The LUT-converted content can then be output to downstream devices/monitors via the SDI loop out.
Color Space / Dynamic Range Comparison (Side by Side, Wipe position) allows users to compare different color spaces, gammas, HDR / SDR, camera logs, and other color settings side by side simultaneously. The comparison area can be selected and moved with a vertical wipe pattern.
Focus Assist controls the aperture level of a video signal and displays images on screen with sharpened edges highlighted to assist camera focus.
False Color indicates the Luma (Y) level of the input image. If a certain Y level is set, the pixels with the designated Luma (Y) level are displayed with a zebra pattern or a color pattern. There are display modes - Zebra, Variable, ARRI, and Comparison.
Gamut Error Type can be observed in 3 modes. In Type 1, when the targeted color space is selected as BT.709, the pixels outside of the targeted color space are displayed as Black Zebra.
The pixels over Y Maximum, Chroma Maximum, RGB Maximum are displayed as Black Zebra, and the pixels below Y Minimum, Chroma Minimum, RGB Minimum are also displayed as Black Zebra.
In Type 2, when the targeted color space is selected as BT.709, the pixels outside of the targeted color space are displayed as Black or White Zebra.
The pixels over Y Maximum, Chroma Maximum, RGB Maximum are displayed as Black Zebra, and the pixels below Y Minimum, Chroma Minimum, RGB Minimum are displayed as White Zebra.
In Type 3: Mono, when the targeted color space is selected as BT.709, the pixels inside of the targeted color space are displayed as Mono, and the pixels outside of the targeted color space are displayed as the color. In this type, black and white area is not recognized.
HDR Waveform Monitor and Vector Scope Display modes enable users to monitor sources using the internal Waveform and Vector Scope individually or simultaneously.
The position of Waveform and Vector Scope can be moved between Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Right, and Bottom Left.
When HDR mode is set on, HDR Waveform is displayed on screen.
Adjustable Gamma control allows for incremental compensation between gamma correction values of 1.0 and 3.0 - thereby ensuring that the decoded image isn't too bright (no gamma correction) or too dark (over correction).
In-Monitor Display (IMD) Function allows image source names and tally information to be displayed on the screen, with an external remote function via Ethernet. TSL system protocol is supported. The color of the source name and tally color is selectable among White, Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Cyan, Magenta.
Various Frame Markers/Mattes are available on the OBM-P series, including aspect, area, and center markers. In addition, the detailed display settings of each marker are allowed. For example, the color, brightness, horizontal/vertical position, and thickness of aspect markers can all be adjusted.
Remote Control via Ethernet allows all OBM-P Series monitors to be connected via Ethernet and controlled remotely on the network. The System Date Copy Function allows users to save the monitor configuration and adjustment settings and load them to other monitors. This is useful for multiple monitor systems, allowing the transfer of one monitor's setup and adjustment data to another or many.
The Fast Mode Function is designed to minimize interlaced video processing time delay. This mode is also useful when displaying fast-motion interlaced video content and to reduce the delay between video and audio.
