I received 2 of these as part of a kit. The price was right but I wouldn't really recommend this as your go-to USB card reader. One of the units works okay but the other was very difficult to get the card to fit into and I will not risk forcing an expensive card into a cheap adapter.

I have only used with SDHC and memory stick, worked with no issues or problems with either source. This should work fine with all sources in any kind of emergency situation.

This card reader is part of an accessory kit included with the Canon XA40 camcorder I purchased. It's a relatively inexpensive card read and it did it's job reading the SDHC card included with the camcorder. Not having used a card reader before, I expected it to have the spring loaded insertion and push-in to remove mechanism that's used by devices that take an SD card. It does not and perhaps most card readers don't as well, so no fault here. No instructions come with this card reader, so be very careful in figuring out which direction your card should face when putting it into the card reader. I carefully examined the pins inside the slot to determine which side of my SD card to insert into the card reader. Contact with the pins inside the reader feel "scratchy" (the best word I can think of to describe it) and after transferring the video files off my card, you just pull it out of the slot. Given my cautions, the card reader worked perfectly well with my Window 10 laptop.

The stick is good because it's universal with plenty of input choices but the only one I use, the SD card that fits in the largest slot is very hard to stick in and make sure it's sitting there properly. Feels like there is no guide to keep it straight.

I really liked it. It is functional, and fast enough for my applications. I got it as a bundle with a FZ-80; I wanted to get started on a new hobby, so I bought it as a learning tool. The USB adapter has two slots one for your SDHC card, the other one is probably for a Micro SDHC card. And another two (one of them not fully know what it is for); it seems to have M2 compatibility, though I haven't tested it. Seems sturdy enough to withstand fall damage. The only downside is that is a 2.0 USB device. So, if you have large files (videos, pictures, games, music) that you want to move to or from an SD card, it won't be nearly as fast as with 3.0 and 3.1. I don't complain about mine since I my computer is fairly fast, and I only work with pictures under 18 MB (way smaller than that at times). Other than that, very handy device.
