Great concept...crappy creation.

I have not had good luck with these. The sticky part that attaches to the lens cover dosen't stay stuck for very long. If I get a couple of weeks out of one I'm doing great. Nothing worse than sitting in a tree blind for three hours waiting for the subject to arrive - and when I get my chance I carefully take off the lens cover and let it go...it's attached - right? Or not. Mine dropped 24 feet tinking and tanging on every branch to the ground!! The subject, of course, left in a great rush and then suddenly, I was sitting alone in the quiet again lol. I use them still, but I don't trust the sticky stuff. Clean the spot you want to stick to on the cap and put a blob of some extreme glue, mine is all temp Gorilla Glue. And?? The tether has stayed connected to this day!

Cap Tether

My prior tether was tied to the camera. This one has as stretch loop that slips over the lens. It works most of the time, but you have to be aware that the loop can slip off the lens if not periodically adjusted.

Poorly-made

It broke. The string pulled out of the part that adheres to the lens cap. I'd had it installed for maybe a day when it came loose and dropped to the floor while I was shooting. I'd rather have no lens keeper at all - at least when the cap is in my pocket, I can be pretty sure it won't go skittering across the floor at an inopportune time.

Very handy little addition

Works great, took the advice of another user and lightly sanded a small spot before adhering. I haven't put it to a lot of use yet so I can't attest how long it will hold, but I have 3M tape to replace if necessary

Not bad

Nice little idea but the string with clip came loose. I was able to adjust the prongs so it somewhat holds the cap and sits tight. I don?t think it it something I would?ve thought about purchasing but nice to have nonetheless.

Could Be Useful
