As good if not better than any other scope I've used. Turrets are crisp and repeatable and image quality is fantastic. My only wish is for a 2FP version. I shoot known sized targets at known distances and at full magnification so don't really need a 1FP scope. Having a 2FP version would also keep the price a bit lower.

The AMG has all the features and the exceptional quality the I have come to expect from Vortex. In fact this is an unbelievable product. From the exceptional glass, to the adjustment turret and the ability to adjust the reticle without the clicks - allowing precise sight in. This scope is a hunter / long range shooters dream. I can't imagine how it could possibly be improved.

I recently purchase the RAZOR HD AMG 6-24 scope for my new .300 PRC CA Ridgeline. This scope is amazing. The glass is crystal clear and compares with anything on the market and nothing beats the Vortex warranty. I love the L-Tec turrets and how accurately I was able to dial it in while zeroing. I haven't taken it out past 700 yds yet but its been a breeze to dial in and shoot. With a scope weighing in at 28.8 ounces my rifle and scope combo are light as a feather. Everyone that picks it up can't believe its weight and comment on how easy it would be to carry all day in the hills and mountains. Great job Vortex!

Attending the Vortex Extreme, you know that weight becomes a burden. Shooting Gas Gun division at the Vortex Extreme, you know that you need an optic that will handle a little extra abuse. No disappointment whatsoever! 1st place GasGun in 2018, 2nd place in 2019. Absolutely love this scope!

dropped 6 feet to concrete & fell in to 20 feet of water no leaks, clicks right on and repeatable have used this scope to drop targets at 1500 meter on a 308LR AR using 7.62x51 Nato Ammo, has over a year of hard use, lost a turret cover Vortex replaced no charge great customer service.

I have put this amg through Alot, out of all of my scopes I would say it’s my favorite, very clean yet effective reticle, tactile clicks and just all around a scope worth having on your best gun.

I’ve been running the scope for a little over a year. It’s handled everything I’ve thrown at it from PRS matches to dusting ground hogs. The tracking in the scope is unreal. You can literally dial to a mile and come back to zero and be dead on. Well done vortex! #vortexnation

I bought this scope to go with my 3 Razor gen II and couldn't be happier. Easy adjustability, perfect focus. Light gathering is very generous. I took it is Mozambique last year and is headed to south Africa this year.

I have purchased two of these scopes for hunting rifles due to the weight savings over the Razor Gen II. This scope fits the bill. Glass is great, tracking through the turret is precise and the reticle option is perfect. I love the Gen II, and have used those as well. For their intended use, they are great. But the AMG works flawlessly and while it has a few less features, this scope is solid. Rated 4/5 on appearance- would love this in same color as Gen II Rated 3/5 on value. Scope was originally offered at $2,500 MSRP and now up to $3,600.

If the low end magnification went a little lower this would be even better as a hunting scope, but that's being picky and it suits my use very well. I've got it on a 6.5 CM used for long range target and for hunting usually used from a ground blind looking over a field, so 6x min magnification is manageable in that I don't have to raise and shoot quickly. Light weight, fantastic glass, nice reticle, locking focus, locking turrets with great feel on clicks, illum. reticle turns off between intensity settings to easily turn on to preferred setting... nearly all the bells and whistles I can think of. I was surprised how much difference 8 oz made on a scope.

Vortex won me over by offering everything I want in a scope. FFP, holdover reticle in MOA, great glass, great zero-stop and turret adjustments/ lock, best warranty that I’ve never needed. I run razor HD GEN 2’s on my 300 Norma Mag and .50 BMG, but the AMG is the best for keeping weight down and having all the right features. A perfect hunting scope and competition scope. I run the AMG on my 6.5 Creedmoor and LMT .308 AR10. Still in the process of selling my other high end scopes to switch to Vortex.

I couldn't be happier with the performance of this scope. From the unparalleled clarity, light weight and ultra functional reticle, this scope leaves nothing to be desired! Sitting on top of my 260AI I've carried this combo through two 30-mile team ruck matches. With this same rifle and scope I made 3 consecutive hits on a 36" target at 2035 yards! There is no scope I would recommend above this one.

Had this now for about 2 years and its been sensational for me! Used it mostly for target and LR goose hunting took a goose in late october at 569meters and a few at 350m+ I'm a happy Vortex customer use rings binos torque wrench and other scopes and i love it all!!

I purchased an AMG about 2 months ago to go on top of my new proof research glacier ti, and its hands down the best scope from glass quality all the way to having some of the best turret clicks i've ever felt it was a great scope to accompany my new hunting rifle. I adore this optic, it's a supermodel in jeans! It has all the flair and pizaz of the highest quality optics without ruining your pocketbook! This has become an all-around performer and jumps back and forth across my bolt guns as I stretch their legs. This thing is weather proof and doesn't break! I dropped it while sliding down a rocky hillside, it held zero and still tracks perfectly.

I have always wanted to get a top notch optic for a rifle worth putting it on. I was lucky enough to win a raffle package that included a Ruger Please Rifle chambered in 6.5 creedmoor with a choice of optics. I chose to get the Razor HD AMG 6-24x50 in mrad. I've been breaking it in and love it! I hope to extend my range out past 1000yds this summer. Incredible optic from an incredible company!

I run NF, S&B, VX6, and others. The AMG is a light weight, clear glass that will easily put a person at the 1000 yard mark and beyond.

I bought this scope and received it last week. The Vortex AMG easily competes with scopes that cost $1000-$2000 more than it does. IMO, this is worth more than the money it costs! The glass is incredible (and USA made, bright even in low light, and the resolution is phenomenal. The L-tec turrets are new to me so the push/pull zero stop will take some getting used to but they are top quality and are really nice! The AMG has better turrets than the L brand Mark 5 (which is more expensive, larger, heavier, and has inferior glass to the AMG), but the Mark 5 does have more internal adjustment-- this is the only area the AMG is really "lacking" (but even then 27.5 Mils is enough to pass 1200 yards with a 20 MOA rail. That said, a 30mm tube and 50 objective help cut weight-- so the reason for the "lack" of adjustment has an important purpose). The weight for this scope is best in class. The eye box is really easy to get behind all the way up to around 21x (for me anyway). After that, it's hard, but 24x is a lot of magnification and you would likely find most brands get much harder to get behind on full magnification. I have found the illumination and the illumination dial to be superb. The brightest setting is really bright-- it will make the glass glow even in broad daylight. In daylight, I have found 5-6 brightness level to be more than adequate. I really like the low illumination on the reticle towards evening-- it looks fantastic. The illumination will make this the best hunting scope I have ever had (even on 6x magnification when the field of view and reticle size are more than adequate for hunting in the thick woods). The reticle itself is also really good, I love it! Overall, this is easily the nicest optic I have ever had/looked through. I have no regrets on this purchase and will be outfitting ALL my hunting rifles with a Vortex AMG. Lastly, the VIP warranty that goes with the optic needs no review! Its the best out there! What more peace of mind do you need!

When I purchased this rifle scope I was nervous about what to expect, but after testing it on multiple rifles, in several different calibers, at ranges from 50 to 1000 yards it has far exceeded my expectations. The click adjustments are crisp and precise, the reticle is thin and doesn’t distract from the target, the glass is pristine, and the weight is lighter than any other scope in its class. It will be many years before I poses the skill to fully take advantage of all the features that this scope offers. From hunting in the mountains, to targets on the range, if you’re looking for the equipment to push your limits and test your skills, look no further.

The best compliment I can give Vortex is when I’m starting a new build the only question on glass is..... which Vortex am I going to put on this? I really don’t consider any other brands just which Vortex. Glass barrel and trigger. It’s whats most important to me, in that order. Vortex is and will always be my go to. Between the light weight, excellent reticle and solid adjustments, you can't do any better for a LR hunting scope. The glass is as clear as any hunting scope I've looked through, and leaves nothing to be desired.
