I'm a tall guy (6'3") and I have been looking for a tripod that allows me to stand up strait but doesn't weigh me down too much for long hikes into the woods or mountains. I happened across this model and it seemed I had found exactly what I was looking for; tall (even without the center column), under four pounds (though it feels like less in the hand). It had all the other features I was looking for; a removable center column (just unscrews, you don't have to take the whole thing apart like other brands), a hook for weight, etc. I didn't know anything about the brand, Redged, but I took the chance. No warranty was included in the box but in contacting Redged I was told it came with a 5-year warranty and to just hold on to the receipt. Cons: It could fold smaller but not a big deal, the price could stand to lose $100 or so, may be discontinued... glad I got it when I did.
