This lens is fantastic, sharp, and versatile. It is currently my go-to lens, and I own right lenses for my Fuji X mount cameras.

Love this lens! It feels solid and very quality. Aperture ring is smooth (it is clicked) and has enough turn for fine-tune focus adjustments. It takes a little practice to nail the focus, but with focus peaking and zoom focus assist, it’s not to hard to get it just right!

I was not real impressed with the build quality of the lens. I returned it and am awaiting my refund.

Great little lens, esp. for portraiture. Shallow depth of field is great for isolating your subject against the background. Easy to focus using image magnifier, but not good for moving subjects (no AF). Consider stopping down a little to deal with focus / movement errors. Very good image quality.

The 50 F1.2 is an excellent alternative for portrait than the much more costly 56 F1.2 with AF. The manual focus is excellent, long throw for accuracy, butter smooth. The aperture ring clicks nicely and doesn't slip. The lens is wicked sharp wide open at F1.2. On a Fuji APS-C sensor, it's similar to a 75mm F1.6 lens equivalent to what you'd expect to see on a full frame (approximately). Still a very lovely, fast lens, to give you that 85mm FOV look with fast aperture for narrow depth of field. It's incredibly easy to manual focus the lens even at F1.2 with focus peaking on today's Fuji cameras with excellent EVF's. Build quality is great, solid little lens. It's a small lens! It's not huge and heavy like a monster 85mm F1.2 is. It's light weight, small, and yet punches out images that are razy sharp wide open and wonderful color with very minimal CA issues, for a price that lets you get a few more lenses.

Wanted a lens with the capability for a wide aperture but so many are so expensive. This one was a fair price and is a good lens. it works well with my mirrorless Fujifilm, and the manual focus was easy.

I purchased this lens for use on my X-Pro2. I specifically purchased because it is a manual focus lens and was comparing to the Handevision 50mm. While the Handevision is smaller and has an all-metal build, I chose the Rokinon because the focus ring and aperture ring are much better damped on the Rokinon. This makes it much easier to nail focus, especially given that the Rokinon is a much faster prime (f/1.2 vs f/2.8). The build quality of the Rokinon is very solid and the plastics used have a very quality feel. The only reason I gave 4 starts is because the mount has a very slight, but noticeable, wiggle to it. This has been noted by other reviewers and I only notice it when mounting the lens. Over-all this is a very solid lens that I would buy again.

Great lens, no complains. Fit & finish was better than expected, focus ring feels good. Image quality is good- if you can nail the manual focus. Using it on the Canon M5 with focus peaking. I put the camera in monochrome so I can see the peaking better, but the RAW file gives me the full color version.

This is a fantastic piece of glass. I use it on an M2 for casual family portraits and the occasional creative shot. The lens is sharp across the aperture spectrum and produces absolutely gorgeous bokeh. The manual focus ring is smooth. I've seen complaints that the focus range is too great. That's just what you get with an f/1.2 lens; precision focus at f/1.2 requires a focus ring that allows for tiny adjustments. I've had zero frustration shooting with this lens, despite the lack of communication with the camera. I set the camera to shutter priority and Auto ISO. Once I fix the aperture for the shot on the aperture ring on the lens, I only have to adjust the shutter speed to get the exposure just right. The on-screen exposure meter tells me when I'm there. This is a high-quality piece of specialty glass for someone looking to get some fine portraits out of their mirrorless camera. Highly recommended.

When I first got it and used it for 1-2 days, I was disappointed and want to return the lens. But, I want to give it another try, and also, learned of the custom button on my A6300 for focus magnification. Afterward, it is has been all fun. I've taken some nice portrait photos. It's a keeper now. However, here is a link for some night, outdoor, environment shots: https://goo.gl/photos/o4wNyaPfNwszrh1u7

This lens is very sharp, zooming in on building details, which is what I mostly use it for. I do have this particular camera set up primarily for portability. This is an all manual lens so if you are used to point and shoot and unfamiliar with camera settings, there will be a learning curve. But that's kind of what photography is about. Getting used to specific settings pertaining to your equipment and applying it to what you want to capture. Taking quick family pictures is a challenge with this lens. Compared to another lens I have Canon 28-135mm, this delivers much more vibrant and much sharper images. I am happy with this lens in terms of quality for the price and since it is lighter I walk around with the Rokinon 50mm, a 22mm and a 12mm, all small lenses. Generally in ideal lighting, this lens is easy and very sharp. In lower lighting and far-away targets, I do recommend a mono-pod and if it is dark, a tripod. I try not shooting much handheld with this lens under 100 or 200 as I am a bit shaky. May be just me. Closer ups it is different and this lens gives a beautiful bokeh and reminds me of the 85mm Canon which I have tried for portrait shoots. My feeling is that this one is sharper, but that all depends on your set-up as well, and different conditions may yield different results. I think for the price this one delivers a quality found in much more expensive and heavier lenses. Also I use it without the EOS viewfinder. Again trimming bulk. I just use the Canon focusing highlight system. I also use the zoom-in if there is considerable distance in the shoot. OTH-NYC

What caught my eye with this lens that it was for the micro 4/3, 50mm equil to 100mm to a full frame, and f/1.2 stop. The only other option is the Panasonic 42.5mm f/1.2 with ois lens that costs roughly $1,300. If you rely on auto focus and never use manual focusing then stop reading now. Build quality is solid with this lens. focus ring feels smooth. f stop ring has nice feel and click to it. Has nice feel with the camera. Recommend if your camera has custom button feature use them for peaking and zoom you will need it. I felt like I was shooting with a film camera with this lens. It give you great bokeh for portrait. But the main usage for me was for very low light situations were I cannot use a flash and the my lenses that have the f1.8 even struggles this lens shines. I dont like cranking my ISO that high so this lens helps be keep my ISO down and allows me to use decent shutter speeds. I have used this lens with the Olympus OM-D E-M1, E-M10 and the Panasonic Lumix GX8. It took some practice to use with each of these cameras. I enjoy using the lens with the E-M1 the most after I set the custom buttons to work with the lens. You will either love this lens or hate it. During standard light shooting I still stay with my Olympus 45mm f/1.8 because it is still sharper. But very low light shoots the Olympus lenses go away and Rokinon 50mm f/1/2 comes out.
