Open Box = Brand New! I have not had a chance to Use my new to me Canon C500 but these lenses seem to be a perfect test bed.

I sometimes read about people getting unsharp copies of Rokinon lenses and sending them back for QC issues. Happily this 20mm is very sharp, nothing aberrant. I am a big fan of the 24mm angle of view so I wasn't sure if I needed the 20mm but it definitely captures great perspectives in tight interiors that are out of reach of the 24mm. It is also very dynamic for gimbal work. I now have 20, 24, 35, 50, and 85 Rokinons and have been pretty satisfied with all of them for video work. Though they are a little plasticky, my set has held up fine for the better part of a decade now.

As much as I love the Z-50, the kit lens are poo for nightscapes. I was considering trading in for a Z-6 when I saw this lens. The reviews were positive and the price was in decent (even when adding in the Z mount adapter). So I thought I'd try it out before shelling out for a full-frame Z-6. What an incredible difference! My milky way pictures were as amazing as the actual milky way. The colors were spot-on, without weird banding or purple shadows at the edges. And with the wider aperture I'm able to use a lower ISO, which the Z-50 really prefers. This lens brought out the real capabilities of the Z-50. I'm so pleased I got this lens and highly recommend it.

Recently upgraded to a Canon 6d mkII, dropped this lens on it, balanced it on my Ronin, and chased the daughter around on her little 12v Jaguar Car... I think I set it to about 5 ft focus, and t-stop of about 6-8, kept my distance at around 5-ish feet, and went to town, everything came out sharp and looking great. I've played around with it hand shooting, just to rack focus and test the focus breathing, which was very minimal almost non existent if you went smooth/slowly enough. For the price, can't complain, it's a nice piece of glass, and works well as a manual photography lens too.

The lens is great for the price. Build quality is good for the price also. The focus ring is smooth and the image is sharp.
