Questions & Answers

Shopper : I need to reduce the stereo audio output level from a powered mixer at -10dbu to a low impedance microphone input of -72db. Will this attenuator do the job? Tom SilverIGNATIUS M : Possibly... Rolls gives no specs for it! But it very possibly can. The Radial JPC and Whirlwind pcDI will serve you if this doesn't.

About Rolls SLC19

The Rolls SLC19 is designed to control stereo audio signal levels. Since the unit is passive and requires no power, it can go anywhere in a line level signal path - and does not need to be located near a power source. The SLC19 features 2: 1/4 Tip-Ring-Sleeve and XLR inputs and 2: 1/4" Tip-Ring-Sleeve and XLR outputs.

Applications for the SLC19 include level control for the outputs of keyboards, mic-preamps, mixers to powered speakers, computers to desktop speakers and more. Virtually anywhere a balanced or unbalanced line-level signal needs extra level control - the SLC19 will do the job. It's ideal to use with high-output condenser microphones as it maintains the balanced condition and will pass phantom power.
