Tenor & Bass Trombones
British trombones, the cream of the crop. Tenor and Bass sections assembled to create the backbone of Spitfire's detailed British Modular Orchestra.
Background
Composers have been travelling the world over for many years now, Spitfire Audio strings are formidable here in London alongside their woodwinds and brass. But the brass? There's just something about their brass, maybe it's the colliery tradition, the numerous symphony and chamber orchestras, the three major opera houses, several world class concert halls and 80+ theatre pits and buzzing film business in London alone. It leaves Spitfire Audio horn players a cut above the rest of the world, so-much-so they have heard of clandestine "replacement" sessions taking place for brass under the cover of darkness for scores being recorded elsewhere..
Spitfire Audio have recorded tenor bones and bass bones a2 (and in volume 2 you'll get soloists, giving you 3 totally different players of each size on different instruments in different positions when played tutti) and played by some of the greatest players on the planet today.
Function
This is a deeply sampled library with a selection of essential articulations curated by multi award winning composers and musicians. The library features multiple round robins, dynamic layers and easily usable fully functional legato with control of vibrato. The library is presented with numerous microphone positions which you can not only mix and blend to fit the application you're working on, but also automate for dramatic shifts in focus and depth. Spitfire Audio have also specially commissioned 3 exclusive Jake Jackson mixes of every sample to save you time and system resources.
These mixes are specially designed to work in different applications from pop to chamber to epic cinematic and by using these mixes across the BML range you can achieve total mix integrity, just as Jake would do it! If it is even bigger sections you require Spitfire Audio also have the Bone Phalanx range featuring 6 players really going for it, combine with Bones volume 1 for a tsunami of 10 bone players, Mahler would be proud.

Gives you a quick and easy way to access, view and load the different articulations, mic mixes and essential controller functions which you can then re-assign to suit your workflow.
General Controls Panel
A deeper but still simple UI panel that allows you to tweak the general settings. How many round robins you would like and how you would like them to behave. How would you like memory to be organized alongside pitch options and how velocity works.
The Ostinatum
Quite simply a little inspiration machine. Not quite an arpegiattor, not quite a sequencer. This intuitive device allows you to build up complex patterns that react to your playing to achieve wild systems results tantalising Zimmeresque tension beds or cheeky multi-tonguing effects!
