About Schecter Keith Merrow KM-7

This guitar, a Keith Merrow signature model, is ready to prove that it's worthy of rock-star status. As always, Schecter has selected the best tonewoods and components to build something greater than the sum of its parts.

Construction & Build
Dense and resonant, swamp ash was the material of choice for this guitar body. The hardwood provides a rich multi-layered sound and produces excellent tone up and down the scale. Schecter then opted for a 3-piece maple neck assembly with carbon fiber reinforcement rods, which lends stiffness and snap to the guitar's playing style while keeping things lightweight. A neck with the right factors of stiffness and warp resistance will mitigate dead spots on the fretboard and provide great string action whether you're playing high or low, slow or fast. Neck-thru construction adds further stiffness and solidity to a quality build.

Components & Hardware
To harness and channel all the vibrancy of the tonewoods used in this build, Schecter installed Seymour Duncan Nazgul (bridge) and SD Sentient (neck) pickups. Both pickups provide plentiful output, and you can wrangle that power with on-body controls for volume and tone. Other noteworthy parts include the Schecter precision locking tuners, Hipshot O-Ring knobs, and Hipshot Hardtail string-thru bridge.
