I was debating between this and the sony GMaster. I use all gmaster lenses but gave the sigma a try. It's build quality is phenomenal for the price and it's quality on picture taking was very comparable to the sony gmaster.

It's been awhile since I have owned Sigma glass. I typically prefer OEM glass for standard focal lengths. But, with G.A.S., I became interested in the 35mm focal length for my pop-up studio (smaller garage) and also for street photography. I got a little obsessed with the f/.095 and originally purchased the Laowa 35mm f/.095 as I have been super pleased with their 12mm Zero D lens. But, their 35mm seemed too soft for me for such a fast lens so I easily returned it to Adorama and replaced it with this lens. Super happy with this replacement. I?ve always kept a 50mm in my arsenal but when I got interested in videography too I wanted a lens to accommodate both my photo and video needs. When I found out some of the greatest directors swear by 35mm for video I knew I had to start there. This works so well for street photography which I love. It?s like the 50mm but just a bit wider to give your photos context. This is the new updated version with the aparate ring and it?s a perfect match for my Sigma Fp.
