So far, it's a great camera. The image quality is incredible and the streamlined rig is a pleasure to use for solo operator projects. *The menu system could learn a lesson or two from black magic.

I really enjoy this camera. The autofocus is amazing. The only setback for me is that it doesn't have built in ND filters.

Loving my Sony FX3 from Adorama, this has been a problem free purchase!
Find unparalleled cinematic capabilities with the Sony FX3 Full-Frame Cinema Line Camera, a powerhouse designed for filmmakers and photographers who demand professional-grade image quality and performance. With its full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor, the FX3 excels in low-light conditions, offering a standard ISO sensitivity range of 80-102400 for movies, which is expandable to an astonishing 409600. This allows for crystal-clear image capture even in the most challenging lighting scenarios.
Experience the breadth of creative expression with the FX3's wide dynamic range, boasting over 15 stops. This feature ensures that every detail is captured from the brightest highlights to the deepest shadows, providing you with the ultimate freedom in color grading and ensuring that your vision is translated onto the screen with precision.
The FX3's full-frame sensor is not just about capturing light; it's about creating art. The sensor allows for a shallow depth of field, producing stunning bokeh that enhances your cinematic storytelling. Combined with the camera's ability to record in 4K resolution, your footage will exude a sophisticated and high-quality aesthetic that is synonymous with professional cinema.
Sony's S-Cinetone color science, initially developed for the acclaimed FX9, is now the default look on the FX3. This innovative color profile delivers rich, vibrant colors and natural skin tones that seamlessly match other Cinema Line cameras, reducing the need for extensive color grading in post-production.
Push the boundaries of motion with the FX3's ability to record 4K at 120fps, ensuring every frame is captured with high precision autofocus and high-speed readout capabilities. The Slow and Quick (S&Q) mode grants you complete control over the shooting frame rate, enabling you to create stunning slow-motion sequences up to 5x slower than real-time.
For those who seek advanced color grading options, the FX3 offers 10-bit S-Log and HDR recording. These features provide smooth gradations and high-quality color reproduction across a wide dynamic range, making it effortless to integrate footage with shots from other Cinema Line cameras.
The FX3 is not just a camera; it's a complete filmmaking tool. With 16-bit RAW HDMI output, it caters to the most demanding post-production workflows, allowing for external recording of rich detail and realistic color that surpasses DCI-4K resolution.
Designed with the solo shooter in mind, the FX3 boasts a dependable and highly accurate autofocus system. The wide-area AF with intelligent tracking uses focal-plane phase-detection for persistent subject tracking, while the Fast Hybrid AF system ensures precise focusing even at high frame rates and shallow depths of field.
Sony's E-mount lenses complement the FX3's high-performance capabilities, offering smooth and responsive autofocus that meets the rigorous demands of cinematography. The lenses' linear-drive actuator technology ensures precise and tenacious AF performance, supporting your creative vision.
The FX3's compact size and lightweight design make it perfect for high-mobility shooting. The camera's magnesium alloy construction enhances durability, while the attachable XLR handle and in-camera image stabilization make it ideal for dynamic shooting scenarios.
Front and rear tally lamps, a vari-angle LCD touch-panel monitor, and essential controls strategically placed for efficient solo shooting underscore the FX3's commitment to operability and expandability for content creators.
With uninterrupted 4K/60p recording, dual high-speed media slots, and remote camera control capabilities, the FX3 is engineered to meet the needs of modern filmmakers. Whether you're capturing stills or movies, transferring files via high-speed FTP, or streaming live, the FX3 is equipped to handle it all with ease.
The Sony FX3 Full-Frame Cinema Line Camera is a testament to high-quality, professional, advanced, innovative, and sophisticated filmmaking. It is the ideal choice for those who prioritize image quality, ease of use, and relative affordability in their quest for cinematic excellence.
