I was thrilled that adorama still had the playbar in stock.  As an installer I have gotten to sample various sonos products in different combinations.  The consensus was the playbar and sub sounded best together.  

Adoroma had the best price available and delivered extremely fast.  Very happy.

Great sound but it is ridiculously difficult to connect to wireless devices. Even my friend who already owns 2 of the Sonos Playbar speakers struggled for over an hour to get this to connect to my cell phone & ipad.

My Bose soundbar connects in 5 minutes to any wireless device

This is by far the best soundbar I ever purchased. The vocal clarity, bass and surround sound is unbelievable. It literally blows you away with the rumbles when turned up. Worth every penny. FYI I have one in the living room and one in the bedroom. The smaller the room, the louder the Boom!

I would buy again

I did not expect that it would work a great as it does, considering my living room layout. The sound is great for my movies. It is cool to link this speaker to my other speakers to get sound in my entire home.

Great for Movie night

I've been researching between the Sonos playbar to the Bose 700. I finally decided on the Plybar for my entertainment needs. The moment I brought it home I was excited like a kid at Christmas. The set up from downloading the app to the step by step instructions. Were flawless. It was so easy and within minutes I was using the true play auto tune. The sound bar itself sounds amazing but I didn't stop there. I also bought the sub and a pair of play ones to give off the full surround sound. The sound bar by itself was enough with the sound and bass. It only intensified when I added the sub and rear speakers. Other than my television this has been one of the best investments. The only downside side I've come across and it's a minor one is the fact that the volume is lower playing on game consoles.

Not just Wow but Wow!!!

The play bar is great WHEN it works, it constantly loses wi fi and doesnt show up in your app. Who wants call an 800 number and get help to reset your speaker, for the high price I dont think it is asking to much to work. They tell you to " just reset it" like it is no big deal!! I would like them to come over and see how fun it is to reset a mounted play bar and to go unplug the router all the time. My friends love when they come over and I have to spend a half hour getting my music to play! I am guessing not many of them are getting a Sonos anytime soon lol

Loses wi fi

I ordered this and the sub. The Playbar arrived first and was the easiest of two to install. The sound alone from the Playbar was awesome. The tuning of the speaker was also easy and when finished was suited to my media room. A very well made product.

Yes, definitely.

I set up the Sonos 5.1 Surround Set to my living room Samsung TV, with a pair of Play 5's in my bedroom & a Move for den or patio. The connection went easily (with some tech help to connect to my WiFi), all done in a day. I CAN control the soundbar's volume level with my Comcast remote (contrary to another reviewer's experience), and interestingly can adjust it's volume with my other Samsung remotes (for bedroom & den TV's) but not with the living room's remote! A minor inconvenience since the Comcast remote works fine with it. I really like the app's control of the various rooms' playing & levels. The sound quality is absolutely SUPERB! The clarity of the soundbar is perfectly blended with the rich fullness of the sub, and Sonos One's provide a totally immersive background sound with movie viewing or music listening. It integrated effortlessly streaming Comcast Music Choice from TV, SiriusXM, Spotify, & later TiDAL I have Google Home so Airplay is not a problem with me. It has renewed my music-listening love after upgrading from my older stereo system. I would highly recommend the 5.1 Surround Set and it's Soundbar to anyone (without specific issues) for a great music & movie audio-enveloping experience! Simply Awesome!!!

Love the Soundbar & 5.1 Surround Set!

I'd love to be able to play whatever I want, such as my iTunes library on my phone, my favorite radio station apps, and even you tube videos and Facebook live concert streams. I was disappointed when I couldn't seem to do these things.

Not sure that I would buy this again..

So easy to set up. Wireless, clean look. Great sound. I'm really enjoying using the Amazon music app through the Sonos app to listen to new and old music. Also bought the smaller Beam soundbar for the bedroom and can play same music throughout the house.

-no auto volume leveling or uniform volume control
-mute on remote doesn't always work
-app is difficult to set up. No explanations of what TV autoplay, ungroup on Autoplay, Use IR, IR Signal Light, etc. means.
-search function not very helpful with relevant information

Didn't meet my expectations.

Unbelievably easy to setup. I commend Sonos for the simplicity and professional walk-thru. Perhaps the best setup experience I've experienced in my lifetime.

The sound is a huge improvement from flat TV speaker sound when it comes to movies as long as you include the subwoofer. But for music, I'd say it's just ok. Would get significantly better sound with a stereo setup and 6" speakers, which might actually be less money. But the integration would be missing.

Sonos soundbar

I purchased the soundbar after advice from my brother-in-law. I was looking to add to my pair of Sonos 1's to add theater surround and to get rid of my old Bose 1-2-3 system. While it's loud and sounds good with movies, I love the surround during action films like Star Wars, I am very disappointed with the bass when playing music. I feel like I should have just bought the combo with the woofer and received a discount....because I NEED the subwoofer! Now I'll have to pay full price for that. It is loud, so not a completely negative review, it just lacks some bass.

Not nearly enough bass!!

Very easy setup and directions for same from Sonos. Room customization process is impressive. But the Sonos iOS control program is difficult to use and learn, and the interface appears to be different from time to time on my iphone. A manual or good set of teaching videos would be appreciated.

It was the app trying to connenect with the wireless system....took me 3 days to set up.....sad you could not set up from a laptop computer.....There should be an on off switch since I don't watch TV everyday.....units get very warm by staying on 24/7! Sound was awesome once completely hooked up.....Didn't recognize components at first...very frustrating!

Must be able to switch unit off an on!

This product does not allow Apple play2. The other functions are nice but when Sonos no longer enabled to play music directly from my phone library, functionality was lost. 
Do your research before buying this speakers. Other options out there are worth their money.

I have the sound bar. Awesome for the TV, initially bought the Move and have the Play1. If you are playing Amazon music - it cuts out A LOT. Call support - after re-booting router., mesh network... told interference or congestion, should re-boot every month or spend more $$$ on a Boost that may or may not work. Asked why only the one device told it was because it connects on older 2.4 band. He told me I could wire it. Why buy a wireless system if solution is to wire it. Frustrated!!! considering the amount of $$$ spent
