The coating peels extremely quickly, and even though support replaced the case only 2 weeks after purchase (it peeled that badly) it's happening again. Do. Not. Buy.

Case is protective but is peeling after a few days. It looks like I've had the case for years and have thrown it everywhere but that is not the case. Not the best for a clean chic look

Horrible! They sent the wrong product. It took - literally - 3 days to get anyone there to tell me how to send it back to them and get a replacement or refund, and even then their response was that they want customers to pay for the return shipping - on a mistake that they made! I finally got another customer service rep about a week later (no, they don't like to respond to emails), who asked for pictures of the wrong product, and asked what I had actually ordered (weird, because they should be able to tell what their customer ordered, right?). After that the only response has been contradictory claims that there was no way they could have made this mistake, and that they don't even sell products for the model I had ordered - which, again, weird, since they took my money for that product, even though now they're claiming they don't sell things to fit that product. This is so shady. Definitely was not expecting this type of thing from this company. I'll be contesting the charge with my card, of course, but what a ridiculous thing to put your customers thru.

I loved the look and feel of my case when I got it. Unfortunately, 2 weeks after I got my case, the exterior (rubbery) finish started rubbing off on a number spots, exposing the shiny hard plastic underneath. I don't recommend it.

After a week of use, I have no complaints about this phone case. The case is sleek, and easily fits in pockets. I am happy to be using a less bulky protective case. I have not dropped my phone yet, but the case seems most protective if a phone is dropped on its edge. Thank you Speck!

I've used this case for the last 4 versions of iPhones I've owned. I drop my phone all the time (I have kids and I'm a realtor so I'm ALWAYS multitasking with my phone and am often outside in desert landscaping?rocks). This case is sleek and provides excellent protection. When paired with a tempered glass screen protector, my phone has never been damaged, despite my abusing it. 100% recommend and Speck customer service is AWESOME, so you don't have to worry about any problems.

Will keep case because of overall looks and fit. Opening for silence switch seems larger making it easier to operate. Case color is fine except not as dark as expected. I also miss, from my old Speck case, the ridges on the backside that help prevent sliding of the phone in your hands.

I had a Speck case before this, and it lasted me two years. No damage to my phone no matter how many times I dropped it, and maintained its appearance for the most part the whole time. I knew once the time came to replace it that getting another Speck case was what I wanted. This time I chose the plain black without the grips along the side, and I love it. It's simple but it looks great and feels great.

I've been using Speck products for as long as I can recall but this case is a let down. The matte coating peels off the case and the silicone strip at the bottom of the screen above the charging port breaks completely off causing the screen to be vulnerable to drops?.which did happen. I expect better from Speck!!!

Have used the candyshell cases for years and have never cracked a screen despite dropping my iphone repeatedly. Upgraded to the presidio case and my iphone fell inside my car, no more than 1 foot, hitting on the top of the case, not on the glass, and I have a cracked screen. Definitely not the protection I expected from this case.

I have dropped my phones in the past and I can rely on the Speck case. Whichever iPhone I use I always cover it with Speck, never disappointed.

I've been a lifelong speck buyer, so I have quite a few to compare it to. This is probably one of my least favorites that I've ever owned, not that's it terrible, by any means. They must be getting hit pretty hard by the supply chain crisis (thanks Joe Biden) because every other option that I would have bought over this one was sold out. The case seems to be of solid construction. The weakest point of any speck case seems to be the small portion between the charging port and the screen, so I'm looking forward to seeing how that holds up. I think my biggest complaint is how slick the outside of the case is. Maybe it's because in the past I've always opted for the cases that have the rubber grips on the outside, but I often feel like I don't have a firm grip on my phone. Maybe this will pass with time, and I haven't dropped my phone yet, but we will see. Overall solid, but I would opt for other choices if I had had the pick of the litter.

The case was delivered two weeks ago today. I put it on the phone and have not taken it off again until just now to take a picture of it. I must say this is not what I expected, my previous case from Speck for a different phone was almost like new three years after I got it. The outer layer of the case is slowly wearing off. I rather like the soft rubber like texture of the case as it is, and it doesn't slide around like a bare phone would. I can tell that once the outer layer is worn off even more that the hard plastic inner layer will be almost as slick as the phone itself.
