This is my second Steiner and am just as pleased with this optic as my other 3-15X50. Quality and Very clear glass. I have some of the other guys stuff but none of it compares to Steiner glass. I mounted it on a Barrett .50 and we were easily engaging targets out to 1800 meters with ease. Target was clear and bright, turrets felt crisp and we?re repeatable every time. I will buy Steiner again and when I do it will be their military line of optics to see just what I?ve been missing, If anything?s!

Excellent quality scope. Glass is amazing. The reticle is great its not too much while still giving you a lot of hold over options while not obstructing your view. Turrets adjustment is solid with solid clicks between settings. Picture through the scope is looking at a man size steel target at 1500 yards. This scope carried me all the way to my first successful mile shot @ 1760 yards.

I have replaced my 1-8x FFP scope with the Steiner P4xi 1-4x24mm because the clarity and the accuracy of the BDC reticle is amazing. Daytime bright center dot illumination makes for CQB must have. Clarity and Precision even at 600 yards!!! An American made riflescope with German made glass is an engineering dream!

I just purchased the t5xi and have mounted it on my Bergerac 6.5 creedmoor. Glass is very clear and the optic appears to be very well made and sturdy. Have not had a chance to get to the range yet, but will try to update the post after sight in.

I bought this scope before hunting season. I was in a shooting house with a friend he had a 5k s&b. Once he told me that?s it no more light. I handed him my gun we stayed out another 15 minutes. great scope could not he happier.

This is my 3rd Steiner. I had 2 P4xi’s previously and loved them. The T5xi blew e away with the features. Glass clarity is better than my razor hd gen II

This scope had a Parallax issue so I returned it for repair. It would focus the target correctly but the Parallax knob would not read the correct distance...like way off. To make matters worse despite including a good description of the issue and the repair ticket indicating a parallax issue, the repair notes sent in an email said they could find nothing wrong with the elevation turret??? To add insult to injury the scope never arrived back to me. Gone. Trying to get a fast reaction from their CS in not possible. Looks like I am out a 2500 scope. Case # 37164 RMA# ss201175984 if anyone from Steiner cares.

Great glass. Not sure how durable these are because i haven't seen any torture tests and haven't been rough with mine so i can't speak to that. Battery dies fast IMHO. Ret dot is pretty nice. Won't rip on the thickness of the reticle lines (but i want to) because of what this is.... a CQB optic that can range to 600 yards. I have both the 5.56 and 7.62 versions and have taken both out to 600 yards. I'm also a former SOF operator. I also won't speak to the length of the scope or its weight. Let's get to what i consider the heart of the matter. I suppose if you shoot 55 or 62 grain at 3,100 fps exclusively out of whatever length barrel the reticle is calibrated for, you might be happy with this reticle / optic. I shoot 75 grain PPU Match and 77 grain IMI Razor core. There's a greater than 2ft discrepancy between points of impact at 600 yards with those two ammo offerings out of my SCAR16S. That's REAL SIGNIFICANT. I suppose if you shoot 175 grain exclusively at 2,580fps you might be happy with this reticle. I'm not sure your wallet or your wife would be happy though. Your Steiner Support also answered a customers question incorrectly in the question section by stating that the 7.62 version was calibrated for a NATO M80 ball load... when your own reticle guide for the 3TR reticle says it's calibrated for a NATO 175 grain M118LR load at 2,580 fps. My 18" RA308 shoots IMI 175 grain ammo with a muzzle velocity of 2,431 fps. Needless to say, with the RA308 i had to hold high at 600 yards. Now the optic is on my SCAR17S and i'm holding quite high at 600 yards to hit the target. Prior to putting my 5.56 version on my SCAR16S, i had it on my DDM4V11Pro with 18" barrel. Shooting IMI 77 grain at 600 yards i had to hold high as well... i can only imagine how high i'd have to hold shooting 75 grain PPU Match. The whole point of my review is this... these scopes are "relatively" worthless beyond functioning as red dots with poor battery life. Why are we dealing exclusively with BDC reticles in the T5xi line ? I wish i would have gone with the Mil Hash version of the Vortex Razor 1-6x At least you can shoot ANY CALIBER AND BARREL LENGTH with PRECISION if you're not too lazy and ignorant to get a DOPE for whatever set up you are running. There's no excuse to not have MIL HASH and or MOA HASH version/s. I own the T5xi in 3-15x56 and 5-25x56 so obviously, i like Steiner if i have 4 of your scopes. I also influenced my brother in law to purchase the T5xi 5-25x56 as well as not 1, not 2 but THREE of your Intelligent Combat optics. Those are pricy. You're welcome. Consider this review a rip but also please take it as constructive criticism and PLEASE catch up to the competition and put out a MIL HASH version. Yes you put out that ridiculously expensive 1-8x that virtually nobody can afford but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put out a 1-6x or 1-8x that has MIL HASH and a floating center dot that won't break the bank. Maybe a P version if not a T version ? It's up to you Steiner.. Look how well your P4xi is selling !! but you'll be left in the dust by the competition if you don't. I moved over to Vortex for their EBR 7C reticle in the Viper PST Gen II line. I bought 2 of those and even purchased a Bushnell Elite Tactical XRS II because you guys don't offer the H59 in your T5xi line. Fine, Floating Center Dots are where it's at. Traditional cross hairs obscure too much of the target. You did get that part right with your new 1-8x at least. Burris also got it right with their 1-5x CQ Mil and 1.5-8x CQ Mil..... which are sadly discontinued now. I mostly blame Primary Arms for this BDC craze. It's a Shame.

This is a nice scope, but shouldn't have issues in this price range. My scope will not focus on target. The ocular focus works fine, the side focus doesn't. The scope also has a lot of Chromatic Aberration (CA) around the edges of a target and on the outer edges of the lenses. Once again, this shouldn't happen on a $2k+ optic. I sent the scope back to Steiner, hopefully they will fix it. I know earlier versions of this scope had the same issues, but I thought Steiner had fixed the problem's. This is a nice scope with some great features, but customers shouldn't have to put up with these problems on scopes at this price. I know the other brands of top shelf optics that I own don't.

I purchased this scope about a month ago and its amazing . Very clear glass and love the turrets . As gar as a scope goes i dont see how you could be disappointed. Heres my 1 gripe mine showed with no information at all . No instructions, no batteries, no zero stop tool , nothing just the scope . Ok now problem call steiner after all its a $2000 scope right ??? Wrong Steiner doesnt have spare batteries or anything else . You know what i did get a pdf so that i can download the instructions myself . Ridiculous!!! So product the best customer service laughable .

I purchased the H4Xi 4-16x56 to mount on my .340 Weatherby. I have yet to use the scope but I was super pleased with the overall craftsmanship and attention to detail on this scope. Its light weight and the illuminated reticle has plenty of settings. This is my first BDC Reticle for hunting so I am looking forward to putting it to the test. It is by far the nicest optic I have ever mounted on a hunting rifle. The price was excellent and Steiner's reputation is legendary. I will follow up with a review after the 2020 hunting season is over.

I understand that the FN Scar 17s are known to eat cheaper quality optics. Without breaking the bank, im glad i choose this scope. Im hoping it will withstand the rifles unique recoil.

I own the entire line of T5xi scopes. Glass is outstanding on my 5-25x56. I do have some suggestions for Steiner though. They need to go with a floating center dot instead of traditional cross hairs. They also need 2/10's mil hash marks on the vertical crosshair. They also need to offer a similar reticle choice to what Vortex is doing with their tactical line, something like the EBR 7C i believe it is. Even just offering the H59 as an option would be nice. Even Burris offers the H59 on one of their 5-20x optics so why not the T5xi line ? If i could just have one feature though, it would be a fine, floating center dot. The crispness of the turret clicks are mushy on my 5-25x56 and my 3-15x56 so i would definitely work on cleaning that up too. Also, i think a 1-8x or even 1-10x like the new Vortex Gen III would be awesome with MIL HASH reticle instead of BDC reticles. That way you could put that scope on anything and have confidence you're going to be able to make precise shots regardless of barrel length or caliber.

Mine is T5Xi 5-25 x56 scr-moa. Before I bought, I did look online and read magazine. From price point, build, reputation of the brand, features and the recticle. Plus the positive reviews of the owners. I was not disappointed.

Parallax...parallax...parallax. This T5Xi 3-15 has a parallax setting that starts @25 - ~, it really works well. The Diopter settings are very generous and you can get the scope perfectly set up for a variety of users. The versatility of this scope shines in the 22 LR as the demands of the scope are huge. From short Benchrest target shooting to the ever more popular ELR 22 this scope could be the perfect combo. Steiner has packed these features into a scope that does not weigh much and gives the rifle a perfect balance. Try one...and let nothing escape you!

I bought this for my custom Bighorn .300win mag, it has very crisp and tactile turrets, 12 mils per rotation puts me at about 1200 yds before I use the never lost feature of the turrets. The glass is so clear I can pick out facial features on a steel gong at 800yds away. This is an amazing scope. The tracking is dead on.

This is my first Steiner and so far it continues to impress. Overall aesthetics are great, eye relief and glass quality are top notch. Did a lot of research and comparison before buying this scope and it does not disappoint. Very pleased with this choice. Can’t wait to get some more time with it.

I ended up with the t5xi 5x25x56 scope. It went on a 6mm build. I was kinda worried to start with I have heard a lot of people on forums saying they had a lot of tracking problems when they first came out with the t5xi series. I seen it on sale at a really great deal and I though why not I will give it a try. I am glad I did. This scope has just as good and maybe better glass or clarity than my vortex razor amg and my athlon btr. When I first looked through this scope I was debating on sending it back I was looking at 25 yard range and of course the parallax adjustment is 50 yards to infinity and it looks rough at 25 to thirty yards of course you probably won’t be using this scope at short distances so I took it out to range and compared to other 2 scopes I have it really shines from 100 yards on I have only been able to get to 500 yards do to range limits. But so far it has been an awesome scope I actually had my Cronus btr on this 6mm build and I switched it out and went with Steiner t series mounts and my groups have been better than ever. The turrets are really nice very easy to adjust zero stop and you can’t get lost on how many clicks of elevation your on it will tell you what Mils you are on it has a little windows on turret and the mil numbers change a you rotate turret. The scope comes with a throw lever sunshade and tenabrex lense covers very nice accessories this scope is worth it so far I want to do a tracking test to see but I have run it at various range targets and it has been on it every time so far so good.

Best quality scope I've ever owned. I've compared it side by side with $3k+ models and the quality matches or exceeds all others I've compared it to

FIRST, have you ever thought you had good glass until you actually looked thru amazing glass? This was exactly my experience with Steiner! I have a couple considerably more expensive scopes, and let me share that it is the first time I was actually able to appreciate certain details in my target at 1000 yards!!! SECOND, clicking thru the Turrets presented me with quite the auditory and tactile experience and the unit's fit-n-finish feels like much more expensive scopes. The only thing that took me back a bit, was how fine the reticle looks at lower magnification. But then again, who would use this beast to bang steel at any less than 600 yards? Not me! This scope is truly meant for distance, because the more you "stretch its legs" the better it performs, period! Get Steiner, because their tag line "says" it all.... with Steiner glass "NOTHING ESCAPES YOU!"

Save up to buy this great scope, you won't regret it. We're shooting out to 1600 yards with it. The clarity really helps my old eyes.

Top Tier scope, without the big price!
By Rogersramjet
I just bought this scope from sport optics. Fantastic scope. I was looking at S&B, I'm so glad I bought the Steiner. Tracking was dead on, scope glass is so clear I can see the windage and elevation Mark's out to 10 mils. Dials are robust and clear audible clicks. I can only dial to 21.5 mils elevation but that's more than enough for my .308.I love the SCR reticle, thanks Steiner for building a top notch A+ scope. And to have Steiner ship the lenses covers with a cat tail nice touch.
The Steiner T5xi 1-5x24mm tactical rifle scope 5.56 is a compact lightweight multi-use optic designed for use with carbines and AR type firearms. This scope is extremely versatile and can be put to use for anything from Close Quarters Battle to intermediate precision shooting.
