"For a smaller-sized, entry-level condenser mic, this little warrior pulled its weight. The cardioid recordings were clean, crisp, and forward-focused. The mid frequencies control the focus while and the top end is crisp with a boost around the 7k range. Overall, I think this is a good daily mic for podcasts, basic voice recordings, and general talkback. "
The Turnstile Audio Concourse Series TAC300 Condenser Microphone offers you a remarkably crisp and clean sound for all your recordings. Make your podcast, social media content, video content, live streaming, and audio recording come to life. With its forward-sounding audio profile, the TAC300 makes your voice or instrument present and upfront. Students, audio enthusiasts, and professionals alike can create better overall content from the moment they plug in.
The TAC300 can handle the entire spectrum of sound. The mic’s cardioid polar pattern is perfect for broadcast, vocal recording, instrument recording, and any other audio recording your creativity can conceive. The crisp high-end gives the microphone extra air and brightness. For tone control, the 10dB pad helps prevent the microphone from overloading and the low-cut switch can help reduce excessive rumble from audio sources. Plus, the microphone comes with a soft case for secure transport when you’re out in the field or on the move. Sound like a professional from your very first recording and make your sound come to life.
Whether you are just starting out or a seasoned pro, the TAC300 will be your take anywhere microphone. Up to any recording task, the microphone’s brighter character means vocal and instrument recordings have more “air” or a sense of space where the recording is being made. Electric guitars are articulated when strumming chords or playing solos, drums have extended attack, and other instruments have presence. The result is clean, crisp audio.
The TAC300’s cardioid pickup setting allows you to get a polished sound for vocal and broadcast recordings. The mic’s cardioid pickup pattern makes recording simple just position the microphone in front of the singer or broadcaster. Capture their vocal take without picking up background noise from behind the mic. This works for both overdubbing a single track or recording everyone at once using a live tracking recording technique. Singing vocal parts become distinct and clear without turning muddy, broadcasters’ voices emerge sounding smooth and radio-quality. If you are working with a singer or broadcaster that has a voice that projects too hard, you can lower the incoming level by -10dB with the built-in pad. This will get the volume to a comfortable level without overloading the microphone. For singers and speakers that tend to get too close to the mic, the 100Hz low-cut filter reduces excessive bass in their voice.
