DANIEL W : is there an ac imput or must you use batteries all the time?LINWOOD W : You can use ac. However, I first ordered a Boombox 7. It came and the tuner was damaged and would not tune in any radio stations. I called and they sent me a return shipping label. At that time they did not have anymore of the Boombox 7's and the salesperson on the phone convinced me to purchase a Boombox 9. When I received it I was not really satisfied. It was large and not Stereo. Also, it had a cassette player in it which I no longer use. I returned it. Then I got a notice they had a new shipment of Boom box 7's. I immediately ordered one. When it came all was good until I tried to play it with batteries and nothing happened. I called them and told them about it. They then transferred me to different people until I got disconnected from the phone call. I tried to call them again and their phone system refused my call saying I had only one call per day. However, the next day I called and got the same message. I then called VISA and stopped payment. I then got a call from Adorama saying they would not pay for the return shipping. Well, in the end I was told if I did not return the radio I could not stop payment. Since I know about electronics somewhat I decided to open up the radio knowing well it would void the warrantee. I found that one of the wires from the battery had come unhooked probably thru shipping. I soldered the wire back on and all was well. The radio works great but, I am NOT HAPPY WITH ADORAMA AND WOULD NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN. Good luck if you purchase one and have a problem..
