Under the umbrella of indispensable photography tools, the 4X4" Warm Ultra Polarizing Water White Glass Filter by Tiffen stands out. This high-quality filter is a must-have for professional photographers, effectively eliminating glare and reflections from water and window surfaces, a common challenge in the field.
Beyond just reducing glare, this innovative filter enhances your photography by saturating colors and increasing contrast. The Tiffen Warm Polarizer ingeniously merges the properties of a linear polarizing filter with the unique effects of the 812 Warming Filter. This versatile tool adds a natural warmth to all skin tones, exterior shade, and highlight areas, making it particularly useful in outdoor open shade situations where excessive blue in the image may be an issue and total control over lighting may not be possible.
One of the standout features of this durable filter is that you can see the effect of the Warm linear Polarizer through the filter before you even shoot. It requires approximately 2 f-stop compensation and is best used with most video and manual focus photo cameras. For auto-focus SLR cameras, circular polarizers are recommended.
This filter is crafted from Water White glass and is constructed using Tiffen's proprietary ColorCore technology. This process involves laminating the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass and grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, ensuring the utmost precision and effectiveness in your photography.
