This is a good strap, but not a great one. I had a Tamrac strap before, but sold it with the camera I bought it for (a medium-format.) The quick-releases are much smaller on this camera, and tend to roll between my fingers as I'm manipulating them. I sometimes need three tries before successfully fastening them. I ended up using the strap that came with my Olypmus and putting this one aside. To be fair, younger people probably won't have a problem.I have arthritis, which complicates things a little. Still, a lot of people have arthritis, and manufacturers need to think about things like that. It could be a little wider, too, as my other Tamrac strap was. Still, it's a good strap.

I have an earlier Tamrac quick release strap and thought I was getting the same for my 6D and battery grip. I feel this strap is more suitable for smaller cameras although I’ve been told it rated to 40 lbs. I had the earlier strap on a 7D and transferred it to the 6D. My feeling is the connect at the camera, which is string instead of strapping is not as strong as older models. Otherwise I love the quick disconnect strap.

I have never had a strap as adjustable and comfortable as this...the price was right and it is one of the few to work on my camera ... I feel fortunate to have found Adorama and to find this camera strap...looking forward to using it on a train trip in Ontario this fall !!!

I purchased two Tamrac Quick Release straps a few years ago and have been very pleased with them. So, when I ordered my D-850, I wanted to get another Tamrac strap for it (don't much care for the manufacturer's straps). However, when I received this new strap, I found the strap width to be more narrow than the older straps. The quick release mechanism is about 50% smaller than on the older straps and the smaller size makes it quite difficult to use so it's no longer "quick". Also, there is an overabundance of strap in an effort to allow for extending the overall length of the strap, which is fine in itself, but the little plastic slide provided to keep the extra strap length from dangling around has no means of staying in a fixed place so it just slides down the strap body and leaves the excess strap length to flop all over the place. This is, in my opinion, a worthless, cheap piece of gear. Unfortunately, all of my research failed to turn up any other quick release straps that are any better. Tamrac, if you're listening, please go retro and bring back the old quality design.
