FINALLY, a bag that fits all of my long glass (400 f2.8, 300 f2.8, 70-200 f2.8), while allowing me to add/shed layers by providing enough space to carry these layers and other incidentals like gloves and a hat. I can spend a day in the field and have all that I need from sun up to sundown, including some light food to keep me going. The bag is so comfortable, distributing the weight evenly across my back and hips. It's also good to have the included rain cover to protect my gear under any conditions. I have a few Think Tank bags and have never been disappointed. I've tried them all, but Think Tank is still the best for carrying my gear.

I purchased a 26L two years ago and absolutely love it! In fact when I purchased a long lens recently I added the 36L which also give me more room for other things too. I am very happy with the quality of both backpacks. I have a bit of OCD when it comes to backpacks and I searched long and hard. I have found the Backlight line to be just about perfect.

Great pack. It fit my RF200-800mm attachment to my canon R5 mark two with cooling grip, four extra lenes and my 16in Asus pro art laptop and still have room to spare.

Bought this pack to combine camera gear along with other electronics like drone and action cameras into one bag instead of multiple different bags. Very roomy and hold a lot. Holds vast majority of items that I might need when on the go or traveling, they say if you carry it, you'll use it but if you don't, it just sits at home. Only complaint that I have is sometimes I don't need to wear the pack while shooting so accessing equipment, I have to lay the front of the bag on the ground so maybe more rugged, water/stain resistant fabric all over bag would be a great reinvention of bag. For now I've been using the rain cover as protecting the front of bag.

MindShift BackLight 36Liter I needed a backpack for camera gear and after lots of reading, research and measuring I was confident the BackLight 36L was big enough to hold the equipment I wanted to travel with. While most photographers will break down their photographic equipment into the individual parts in order to store more in their bag, I do NOT do this. When I pack my back the lenses are still attached to the cameras and in some cases the lens hoods are attached as well. The BackLight 36L allows me to put my Nikon D850 with the Nikkor 200mm f4 Macro and the lens hood attached in the shooting position into the bag very easily, with an abundance of room to spare. In addition I was also able to carry two Nikon Z7's with the 14-24 and 24-70 f2.8 lenses attached and their lens hoods reversed and still I had room left over for cleaning cloths, extra batteries, extra data cards, the rain cover which comes with the backpack, multiple GoPro style action cameras, and still I had more room in the back mounted camera storage area. To say this backpack will carry a large load of camera equipment is an understatement. In addition the lid for the camera compartment has two mesh pockets for additional equipment such as the camera manual, filters, cables, chargers, etc. The two front pockets will carry almost as much as the camera compartment. The outer most pocket is large enough to carry a change of clothes or just some food and a rain jacket. The interior front pocket is designed to carry a laptop and a tablet with lots of room left over for pens, pencil, note book, and probably a change of clothes as well. You can also carry a tripod or monopod in the dedicated tripod carrier and a large water bottle or two in the expandable side pockets. When I loaded the equipment described and weighed the backpack, it was 25 pounds. When I put this on my back, it did not feel like 25 pounds. The shoulder straps are well padded, very comfortable and easy to adjust. The hip belt when properly adjusted carries most of the weight and I was able to access all my equipment through the back access panel without having to take the backpack off. My experience with the BackLight 36L is fantastic. This is a well thought out, well designed, well executed backpack. My only suggestion would be to add Molle panel webbing on the front of the bag like the DarkLight 14L and 20L have. In fact you could probably add Molle panel webbing to all your backpacks and roller bags.

I've used this bag extensively for 6 years. It has held up extremely well, through both domestic and international flights, trekking through rough terrain and in marginal weather and it holds enough stuff that, even for week-long trips, I don't need to bring another bag. Easily holds my 200-600mm Sony lens with body attached plus a handful of wide primes, spare batteries and filters. I love the rear orientation access to the main compartment and the outer pockets hold a generous amount of clothing and electronics. The zippers still slide smoothly and the body shows very little wear. I know it comes with a separate rain cover but unless I'm out in a torrential downpour, the material seems pretty water resistant and I've never worried about the contents getting wet. I really don't have a negative thing to say about it. If it ever gets stolen (I don't know if I'll live long enough to wear it out), I'd buy the exact same bag to replace it.

I needed a larger backpack for sports photography. This backpack offers plenty of room for two bodies and multiple lens as well as both a laptop and larger iPad. This allows me to bring everything with me that I may need on-site to shoot, edit and upload before leaving the location. Very pleased with all features.

Once you put your gear in this bag you can barely lift it, no way I could carry this around all day. Good quality bag with a lot of room just heavy.

The design of this camera pack is close to perfect. I love the dividers and their firm shape holding qualities. I researched many bags, and had another name brand bag that this Think Tank 36l replaced. So happy with this upgrade

I wanted the smaller 26L but on the advice from the Think Tank folks I sized up to the 36L. They were right (of course). The 36L holds my Elinchrom 3 lights (two of them), the adapters, the chargers, the trigger, with plenty of room left that I fill with (when needed) cables and cords for tethering, little barn doors, and my laptop. Super comfortable pack and easy to get into. I'm not the strongest or most agile carrier of gear and this works very well for me whether half or fully loaded. Also love the green, so tired of everything black!

I am a Turk living in Turkey. I just received the product today. I think I won't be disappointed if I try it. The product quality is very good. I hope I can find what I'm looking for.
