Tele Vue 17.3mm Delos eyepiece

Performs exactly as I had hoped.  Super sharp clarity and, as a glasses-wearer, the eye relief is WONDERFUL!

As great as I had hoped...

I use this is my 10in F/5 Newtonian.  Stars look like their sitting on black velvet and are round out to the edge of the FOV.  The slide up eyecup makes setting the eye placement easy every time.  Would recommend.

Great contrast and clean edges

Great Tele Vue Ethos eyepiece. I use it when the seeing in my particular area is above average. 100 degree view is just incredible!

Fantastic eyepiece. The views of Jupiter are incredible. Cassini division in Saturn rings is easily visible. I recommend this eyepiece for planetary observation

Televue Delos 4.5 mm eyepiece

I purchased the 17.3 Delos for a new telescope (f5 12.5" Newtonian reflector) because I have been using one for several years at my astronomy club's observatory, and found it to be an excellent telescope on a fast (f3.5 16", plus Paracorr) Newtonian. Sharp stars to the edge, nice balance of field flatness and distortion (very low in both cases). Great eye relief.

Excellent eyepiece for visual astronomy

I absolutely love this Delos Eyepiece. It is very crisp sharp I am very impressed with televue optics only complaint wish they were cheaper. The eye relief is great  and the images are great the eyepiece adjusts easy for your eyes  compared to the  explore scientific 82 series  I  can say the contrast maybe a little more on the es but the  Delos is more crystal clear tack sharp and just a joy to look though.

This is the best eyepiece I've used with my 4 inch refactor. The images are clear and sharp across the field. It is now my favorite eyepiece and I will defiantly add another Delos to my collection!

Tele Vue Delos 17.3mm

I purchased this eyepiece at the suggestion of the rep at Televue. After quick delivery and waiting out two rainstorms I was upset that I spent the money for this piece. I read the instructions and read where this line of EP's adjust for Astigmatism. I tried it on the next clear night and was amazed! I saw Saturn with the utmost clarity after I made the adjustment. I saw the gap in the rings and bands around the planet. This one is a keeper and may be accompanied by the rest of the set!
