Review Summary
This quadcopter is small (some might call it fun-sized) but don't let that fool you. With four powerful prop motors, a lightweight airframe, and a high-definition FPV camera module, this little drone packs a lot of flying into a small package. Start it up and you'll be off the ground in no time at all.
One thing that differentiates this quadcopter from other drones of similar size and price range is the build quality. It feels solid and can definitely take a tumble (within reason) without falling apart, and with the flying capabilities of this particular drone, you might find yourself feeling glad it's sturdy. The motors are noticeably larger and more powerful than what the Hubsan X4 offers, providing strong thrust and tight, responsive control when you need it. While more powerful motors tend to mean a shorter battery life, this drone can still go for upwards of 7 minutes at a time, and since it comes with an extra battery you'll be able to get the most out of your flying.
The Lark comes packaged with multiple sets of prop guards, including some that double as wheels so that the drone can (sort-of) double as an RC car, allowing it to "drive" up walls and along ceilings. But one of the standout features of this drone is the FPV camera, which transmits and records footage in 720p. It can also take still images in JPEG format, and all media is saved on the included 2GB Micro SD card.
With great flying capabilities, plus a pile of features that are both fun and helpful, the UDI Lark is a great small-size option for flying both indoors and outdoors and for all ages to enjoy.
