I am still fairly new to Apple products and to be honest not very good with "tech stuff" at all. I still have a whole lot more to learn with using the MacBook Pro. I made the investment based on it's reputation of quality, customer service and it's very high resistance to viruses. With all that said I am very happy with this new MacBook. The Touch Bar is very different and not something I am used to at all but, it seems to be very intuitive to learn and use. Being able to use my fingerprint to start it up is great, so much easier than typing in the password. A few things that have bothered me a bit about it is not having any of the "normal" USB ports to transfer data from my externals. Also, getting the screen displays customized to how I would like them has been somewhat frustrating. As I said, I'm not good at all this tech stuff and I'm sure most of these things are basic but, that's my initial impressions. Overall I'm very happy with the new MacBook Pro and being able to get it at such a great price from Adorama with options I wanted was well worth it. I highly recommend the MacBook Pro as a great laptop and Adorama for the place to buy it.

I really wanted to jump into mobile computing so I sold my iMac 5K from 2014 and picked up the 2018 MBP fairly loaded up. This thing is not what I expected. I've used MBP's since 2007, and this one left me wanting quite a bit more. For starters, while photo editing in Adobe CC, the fans spin like crazy. I'm sure the i7 and 560X make some heat, but I feel like the cooling solution inside needs an overhaul. Addtionally, MacOS feels slower somehow. Finder isn't as snappy as my older iMac, Adobe chugs as mentioned, and browsers start clogging memory after a few tabs open (16Gb should be enough... right?!?). Overall, I'll likely sell this when Apple gets around to redesigning the iMac. The trade-off of portability and performance is too much. Now I just have to wait for the keyboard to fail.

My experience with Adorarma was excellent. My Mac Book Pro was manufactured in late 2018. I have had no issues with the keyboard as indicated in many reviews. Hopefully that will continue to be the case. I switched from a windows machine to apple. So far I’ve made the right choice.

Looks and operates in true Mac form. All good. My only difficulties came while getting used to the super sensitive keyboard and trackpad. It also takes a little extra time to set-up, if going from an older Mac with 32-bit software. Migration assistant does the usual work, but then you have multiple pop up notices about updating 32-bit everything. For some apps you will need your original license keys. If you’re like me, and you’ve used a software product for years (with automatic updates), finding licensing keys from 4-5 years ago takes a bit of time.

Loving the new MacBookPro with upgraded Vega 16 I have not Max the system out yet with massive 4K renders but so far the upgrade from a 2013 13” has been worth the effort. The wait for the computer was horrible as it was backordered with apple. But the price and sale was the absolute best deal online for this upgraded laptop. Worth the wait.

The MacBook Pro Vega 20 is excellent in every regard. The screen is vibrant, sound is superb, and performance is blazing fast. I wanted a laptop I could use as a Pro-Consumer as a top of the line machine. Great battery, no power brick, and USB C allows for one cable for this and my iPad Pro.

I write this review coming with extensive experience with both the Surface Pro 2 13" and the Dell XPS 15. I'm a professional programmer, and amateur photographer. I love this laptop. It's supremely fast, in every way. The industrial design is fantastic. I feel happy taking it out of my backpack and using it. It makes the apps I create look even better. A lot of people talk bad on this revision of Macbook Pro. I actually held off on this generation for 3 years because of all the complaints. After finally pulling the trigger, I've found that -- surprise -- the internet is an echo chamber. The keyboard feel is great. I type faster with this keyboard. I haven't had any dust related key issues (yet, it's only been a month). Dongle issues are overblown. Buy one $ USB-C 8-in-1 adapter and you'll never complain about it again. I also realized how infrequently I actually use all those ports. Thermal issues are real though. But only if you use it on your lap for multiple hours.

Just got a brand new macbook 2.9ghz i9, 32gb ram, radeon 560x. I’ve been having kernel panics at least 10 times per day. I’ve tried to troubleshoot with applecare, safe boot, wiped hard drive, reinstalled osx. I only have adobe cc on it bc i use it for work. Still several kernic panics daily, problem with macbridge os. Wasted so much time at work trying to fix it. Never had this much trouble with a laptop. I will have to return it.

Works great. I love the 32G memory and upgraded video card; everything flies specially virtual machines. The keyboard has a very different feel from the older Macbook Pro models (e.g., much shorter key travel) but it works fine. The new USB-C power adapter and detachable cable stow much more neatly than the older power adapter with the permanently attached cable.

I am a Professional Commercial Photographer and have been with Apple products since the Lisa. I utilize my Macbook 8-10 hours a day... 200+ days a year... it is a workhorse of the highest quality build. In my opinion for photography or graphics there is no better platform. This 2018 is a marvelous computer with all the features that professional photographers need. The new 6 core i9 processor is blinding and 32 gigs of RAM allows Lightroom and Photoshop shop process and interface almost without hesitation. The Retina display is amazing and really makes post processing a breeze. Getting used to the Touch Bar as it is new but do like the Touch ID for awakening the sleeping giant. Because all new Macs only come with the USB "C" outputs, one must get a little creative to be able to interface older peripherals, but there are many options and solutions that can be found at Adorama. I am really glad I made the decision (And spent the money) to upgrade to this new version of the tried and true Macbook 15 inch laptop. I would whole heartedly recommend this computer (In whatever iteration) as the ONLY laptop one should consider.

This Mac surprised me a lot by the power of the GPU. Before that Mac I had the 2018 with the Radeon 560X and the quality jump was sensitive. To fit the budget I sacrificed 16 of RAM, but it was worth it.
