Improved processor:

The most notable upgrade to the new MacBook Pro lineup is the enhanced processor on the 15-inch. Now with the option of an 8-core i9 processor, the 15-inch can compute at 2.8 GHz with the option of turbo boosting up to 5.0 GHz. Thanks to a speedy processor, the new MacBook can export footage from Premiere 70 percent faster and import RAW photos to Lightroom 50 percent faster than its quad-core predecessor.

The 15-inch isn’t the only one enjoying a processor upgrade. The 13-inch is equipped with a new eighth-generation quad core processor capable of 2.8 GHz processing speed, or 4.7 GHz turbo boosted. The new processor allows for 65 percent faster build time in WebKit Compile and 90 percent faster processing of filters in Photoshop than the previously used dual-core processor.

Full of space and memory:

Along with a strengthened processor, the 15-inch can add up to 32GB of DDR4 memory, making it 2.8x faster than 16GB of RAM. Creators are free to use multiple intensive applications at once without lag or freezing.

In terms of storage, the 13-inch model can be loaded with up to 2TB of storage, while the 15-inch can have 4TB — a pretty sizable amount of space. Each model’s solid-state drive (SSD) reads at 3.2 GB/s and writes at 2.2 GB/s. User can stock up on project files, videos, photos, music, and more without stressing about reaching capacity. Every MacBook Pro comes with Apple T2 security chip to encrypt information and keep your valuables safe.

Pristine, speedy graphics:

For the video editors, SFX artists, and gamers out there, the new MacBook Pro 15-inch comes with Radeon Pro Graphics. Users can opt for the Radeon Pro Vega GPU setup resulting in 45 percent faster 3D title rendering in Final Cut, 55 percent faster effects rendering in DaVinci Resolve, and 50 percent faster game performance in Rise of the Tomb Raider. If you’re creative work is truly graphics-heavy, a Blackmagic external GPU option is available.

Lastly, both models come with four thunderbolt 3 ports, retina display, touch bar/ID, and finally, a quieter keyboard.
